All the Talks About PMDG 777 Worries Me

It's called a friendly, light-hearted jab to your very firm declaration that the 737NGX will never again see the light of day, hence the smiley face.

That's the way I saw it too.

Best regards,

Jim

Am I only one here who skips most of the cruise stage (By upping the simulation speed) if it is longer than say two hours?.

I only ever tried to do long haul (7 hours) once without changing the simulation speed, and that was a transatlantic flight in the NGX. Although I left the computer for a few hours and checked now and then, I didn't really see the point of it in the end, since I'm just leaving the computer running, simulating autopilot and might as well just skip the bit in the middle (Although the VA didn't allow it). Plus, normally after a 2-3 hour simming session, I'm happy to move onto something else.

No offense to people here who enjoy this, but aren't you worried about your electric bill, leaving a computer on all night running processor/graphics intensive simulations?

I'm a Boineg fan looking for to fly short, medium, and long haul.  The NGX anf the 777X will be my planes of choice for a long time to come.  The only other plane on my payware hangar is the MD-11X, which I still enjoy, despite all the advances PMDG implmented on the NGX.

32 hour flight??? Seems like a waste of energy to me since the autopilot will just fly you around everywhere.

You did not catch my sarcasm; you should read Post #42

I too usually do short to medium haul flights, no matter the jet, as the cruise portion at altitude for hours on end is highly boring for me.

Thus my T7 will fly mainly routes like KBOS>CYYZ, KJFK>KMIA etc.

You sure did not notice my sarcasm, huh?

oh, kinda hard to read sarcasm
