05MAY13 - Release Dates on the 777 and Our Silence on Same

Featured Replies

Last preview thread was 6 weeks ago (43 days ago). I am surprised that we have nothing official from them since. Kinda of odd to start rolling out preview threads and then poof... nothing leaving everyone in the dark.

I must admit, although I don't go in for the whole guessing release dates for the T7 and the conjecture and impatience, when we started getting the previews of the liveries, I did think we were 2 weeks max away from release.

I was wrong!

I can't blame PMDG for playing their cards close to their vest right now...

The way things are in the forums of late, for them to drop any hints re: progress would be like walking into a den of hungry lions wearing a coat made of raw meat!

So, now they're not even allowed to have a hobby, or some time off?

If they want to disclose information, they will. If there's nothing new to be shown, they won't. It really isn't any more difficult than that.

Each project has an expected completion "release" date, this is essential at least for budgeting purposes, given the expected high revenues out of this project, so the release date is already "and should be" set at least internally. Again this silence means that they are busy FINALIZING the product in order to meet this date so they can achieve their targets and budgets within the given time frame. With all the previews and updates that we saw, the only remaining preview is a clip that will show the FINISHED product. again the release will be just after that clip.

What seems strange to me is their 'official' silence on further progress and, at the same time, posting in a way like here:

Wow. Just wow.

Ryan simply said he'd use the 777. Don't you think they're using the 777 every day for testing? I don't understand how this post can be of any issue.

If anything, that's working - Ryan's doing that for many people's benefit. Are you that annoyed you removed any PMDG reference from your signature with just the Airbus lol?....

Luke, as I said before: My new drug is ready no earlier than my dealer offering it to me.

And you'll see me annoyed no earlier than the day I have a CS banner in my signature!
