May 6, 201313 yr To not release your products until you feel they are ready. Far far too many software products, games and sims (FSX included) continue to be released half-baked simply due to arbitrary corporate bean counter mandates based solely upon short-term monetary gain. I will wait though it is hard. I know you pay us the ultimate compliment and measure of respect by not releasing something you know is not up to your standards nor respectful of your customers. All the best and continued success.
May 7, 201313 yr It is not a matter of guts for RSR, it is a matter of principles... Thank goodness he and the entire team have them! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
May 7, 201313 yr I think Rob said in January if they weren't striving to make it everything the NGX was and more - it probably would have released by now. Yesterday kind of opened my eyes and showed me that this past year has been so worth the wait. Watching the product evolve and get better and better is so fantastic ^_^ - Luke Pabari

May 7, 201313 yr Complaints related to boredom and some degree of addiction, maybe? I've heard someone stating, just recently, he can't wait for the NGX to be redone with newer coding. Wait? The NGX? The latest PMDG release with the latest development techniques (available)? It's hard for me to find something that's wrong even with the 744, for example. Much easier to find out what's wrong with premature releases and piecemeal releases of WIP - that's where complaints would fit the bill better ... What happened to AVSIM
May 7, 201313 yr Totally agree with the OP. Better hold your release off, until it is finished to 99,9%. Thanks to PMDG, that you are following this idea, not quite common these days. regards, Alexander Marx

May 7, 201313 yr From what i have read, nobody wants pmdg to release a half baked product especially at the price the T777 will come in at. What the punters really want is a release date rather than an early release. Should we applaud a product that releases what it said it would? sure if it was freeware but when you pay top dollar its a given ZORAN

May 7, 201313 yr but what is the point of saying 15th May etc if during testing a problem arises. Would you want them to release the product anyway and release a patch later on or release it when it is 100% or near enough bug free. No point on keep delaying the release date as this would also annoy the customers to. I would rather then not even say when it will be released until it is a confirmed date. This of course is just my 2 cents worth Stewart Cumbers
May 7, 201313 yr I'd like to second what the above posters have written. I'm behind PMDG all the way, regardless of how long it takes. Ron Priever
May 7, 201313 yr +1 all the way for this topic. We work too damn hard for our money to waste it on under-developed software. Bravo to PMDG for sticking to your guns! May 8, 201313 yr Commercial Member @Tabs Some guy called Rob said you used to be a nice guy; what happened? As with many of the other things he said in that speech, it was a joke lol... I think you'd find me an exceedingly nice guy in person. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
