I'm gonna disagree with you. Motorcyclists suicide themselves because of their reckless driving: Speeding, overtaking a convoy of vehicles, cutting corners, driving between lines, driving without proper suit and helmet, driving on rear wheel. Personally, I take as much distance between every single motorcyclist as I can because they are unpredictable.

Talk about stereotyping... Even motorcyclists have a term for idiot riders, we call them SQUIDS! They give the rest of us a bad name. That is no argument for texting while driving!!! Although a common defense mechanism when you don't have a leg to stand on because you are so wrong is to just deflect...

I can not even attempt to have a logical conversation with anyone who is so completely delusional. You are either so devoid of any concept of reality or just a troll looking to get a rise out of people. Either way there is a point where you just need to shake your head and walk away. The problem is everytime you text not only do you put the your own life at risk but you put the life of every other person around you on the road at risk when they left their house that morning and THEY did not agree to YOU driving distracted.

Disgusting.

And when this guy die, you will blame texting drivers as usually.

When that guy dies (and he will) it will be for his own stupidity and I only hope he doesn't kill an innocent family when it happens. I don't disagree there are some IDIOT motorcysclists out there. If I want to go fast I go to the track which is where my avatar pic is taken! To lump all motorcyclists together is ridiculous. To use it as a defense for driving and texting is mind blowing. On the other hand, to lump all texting drivers together is fair. A texting driver is as dangerous as an idiot on a motorcycle but far more likely to kill someone else opposed to themselves!!! Again, that is no justification for texting while driving. How old are you? I don't mean that as an insult but you sound like a stubborn teenager...

Deflecting? I thought you were the first to introduce motorcyclists topic here.

Anyway, I never said it's ok to text while driving, just put it in right perspective: there are far more distracting activities (completely legal!) than texting while driving. Why smoking while driving is legal?

About that poor girl, I feel sorry for her, but she died accidentally, billion others not, that's a life. There are many other bizarre deaths.

To admit to be waiting to be convicted on a drink driving charge and then tack a bloody smiley on the end of it, says all you need to know about him!

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

OK, I'm done here as well. No, sir - you and I are NOT speaking to the same points. psolk is right. Way to stereotype and generalize. Oh, lifelong (as in licensed and actively riding for over 44 years now) motorcylist here, BTW.

Wow, I had missed that entirely. Talk about a flippant disregard for consequences of your actions... Seems no one would be more deserving of some time alone to contemplate drinking and driving is not a smiley face infraction. Funny we both thought we were speaking to a teenager.

And you accused me for deflecting, while you're pulling out dirty things to discredit me? Driving under influence of alcohol is my first offense (not only in car) ever, nobody was hurt, no property was damaged - lesson learned and I can smile.

Just because it's your first doesn't make it not serious, if you're going to operate a vehicle you should know from the outset driving while impaired is not ever safe. Over here it's an automatic lifetime ban and prison sentence, you seem to be taking it very lightly. No one says it's only my first murder, or I've learnt my lesson and smiles and expects to get away with it so lightly, I think it shows an utter lack of respect for the responsibility that comes with driving on roads if you seem to treat drink driving with such an attitude.

After all the years I have spent so far on UK roads, both as a cyclist and car driver, I have yet to come across a motorcyclist sticking to the speed limits on any road. Or at least a motorcyclist on anything above 50cc or without 'L' plates.

Stereotyping? No need for me to stereotype. I state fact in my experience.

Cmon, what else can I do? I took responsibility for my actions, you cannot expect me to volunteer prison sentence just because I feel guilty?

No, I don't expect you to volunteer for a prison sentence, however I find it ridiculous that you're still allowed on the roads and haven't been banned for life after such an enormous lack of respect for the priviledge it is to be allowed drive, or respect for the value of human life. I think the fact that people who so recklessly endanger not only themselves but innocent others around them, are allowed to continue driving an insult.

Cmon, what else can I do? I'm sorry for your loss, I can assure no humor involved by any kind.

I'm sorry to see my original point is twisted beyond recognition. My appeal for other distractions to become illegal (smoking, eating, manicuring... while driving) passed unnoticed.
