July 28, 201312 yr Hi, after reading all those posts I think I will pass on this add-on... However, I downloaded the demo version, which is of course only a partial scenery compared to full payware version, but I was still positively surprised by the acceptable quality of the demo. Many buildings in south and central manhattan, nice visual result, and almost no FPS drops on my system. Here is a pic :
July 28, 201312 yr There are some texture patches released on DD website' even for dx9 users. Should fix ooom issues. Good luck to everyone that purchased. If possible can you guys report back? Kacper Nowotynski
July 28, 201312 yr I just installed it and tried to give it a run and I didn't have any fps loss in FSDreamTeam KJFK. I also tried doing a helitour around Manhattan and I was getting around 15-20 fps which is good for my setup. I am using DX10 so I didn't get any OOM. Büke Yolaçan
July 29, 201312 yr So, where are we with this. The screenies and price are very attempting, but not for DX9ers?
August 1, 201312 yr Alright, finally got around to finishing up getting DX10 set up and running to my satisfaction. I will be making a full blog post tomorrow but for right now it's enough to say I'm satisfied. I am not happy I needed to switch to DX10 to run this and I've let the developer know that but at least now I can use the product I paid for. Flew for an hour from the NYPD pad at Bennett Field up the East River across Central Park landed at KJRA flew down the Hudson and landed at KJRB. No OOM although I heard the warning chime a few times after I landed at KJRB and looked north. Again, more tomorrow but for now.... Drew Sikora Staff Blog Founder/Designer, MSE Airports
August 1, 201312 yr Initial release running in DX9 mode was a genuine PITA for me. OOMs were hardly avoidable for me, even with my lowest settings in use. (How could they ever release it that way?!?) I changed to DX10 mode and applied one of the three available (by now ...) patches. Very satisfied with the current build in DX10 mode as far as fps and (absent) OOMs are concerned. Still wondering about the initial release, though ... What happened to AVSIM

But can I ask, in DX9 what version of uiautomationcore.dll do you have in the FSX folder? fsuipc installed and presuming win64 with admin rights and user control off? FSX+ 3DS Max, CS5.5 4790K @ 4.8K Asrock Xt3 - 16GB 1866 CL-9 - NV 1070 GTX - 240GB Intel SSD - 2TB Barracuda - Win10-64 Near Silent Noctua D-14 3-Fans - Two - NFA-15cm and - One NFA-14cm All @ 700 rpm - Bitfenix Shinobi Case - (Non Delided CPU)
August 1, 201312 yr I have the aerosoft mahatten product (which is a frame killer ) so im guessing this one would replace it then ?
August 1, 201312 yr UIAuto..., in any way, has to be Vista 32bit version. Yes, Im asking for which version as in case win8-64 there are specifics so as not to OOM, along with user-control settings and instalation routines that if these aren't followed almost any demanding scenery or add-on wont have a chance. Correct: This one is Manhattan, too ... plus all the other boroughs of N.Y.!!! I switched AS Manhattan X off in the scenery library after installing this one. What happened to AVSIM
August 1, 201312 yr Correct: This one is Manhattan, too ... plus all the other boroughs of N.Y.!!! I switched AS Manhattan X off in the scenery library after installing this one. Did you do any of these? Can you share your system, way of installation please? August 1, 201312 yr But can I ask, in DX9 what version of uiautomationcore.dll do you have in the FSX folder? fsuipc installed and presuming win64 with admin rights and user control off? I have no idea, as far as I can remember I've never touched that file. But the presumptions you made are correct. Anyone having lots of trouble with DX10 and who also have ManhattanX there is an alternative you can try with DX9 that I was considering - enable both ManhattanX and DD NYC X and then start playing around with disabling BGL files (rename their extension to .off). For example you can disable all the airport BGL files for ManhattanX and keep the DD NYC X ones and disable all the building BGL files in DD NYC X except the "NY_obuil" files and that might let you have ManhattanX on the island and the Jersey City/East River buildings from DD NYC X. I'm not sure if they can be made to co-exist but could be worth a try, disabling the majority of the DD NYC X Manhattan buildings could solve OOM issues.
