December 14, 200421 yr Which one guys?Comments?Regards, MarceloPosted on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 3.40pm EDT
December 14, 200421 yr I have both. DF hands down. Reason #1 Readability and functionality of panels. (I've never heard of a Captain reaching over his back and pressing a button on the engineers panel, but that is how CS set that panel up)Reason #2 Flight Dynamics. DF really just blew me away with this one. Hard to specifically describe, but once you leave the ground you'll see what I mean. Smooth and accurate.Reason #3 Sounds. Hands down DF has the best soundset I've ever heard on any payware I've bought. The model is great on the DF one, I can't remember how it was on the CS because I haven't touched the thing in a year. (It isn't even installed)Just my opinions on this one.__Josh
December 14, 200421 yr Josh,Don't forget:Reason #2a - Flight Dynamics, Fuel Burn and Power Settings. Real world power settings (EPR) will result in real-world fuel flows and cruise speeds.:)Matt Zagoren Matt Zagoren CPU: i5-750 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Ram: 8GB DDR3 HD: Hitachi 1 TB Video: Galaxy GTX570 OS: Win 7 64-Bit
December 14, 200421 yr Yeah the list goes on and on really.Don't forget SUPPORT!!! DF has a really great forum and superb support for their products. One thing I tend to do before making a purchase is check their forums. Might wanna try that as well.__Josh

December 14, 200421 yr I'd have to say Dreamfleet as well... To expand on the point above concerning sounds, I'd say for the first time you will truly hear what a flight deck sounds like (when engines are located in the back of the plane). This is the one aspect I hope catches on with other developers. If the engines are in the back of the plane, model the sounds to reflect that (Lago I hope your hearing this concerning the MadDog). I remember flying on a Sun Country flight knowing full well how loud the 727 is from the outside. When flying in that bird you only here a pleasant hum from the engines. It really surprised me how quiet the cabin was. Dreamfleet hit this one on the nail.... :-jumpy Now if only someone can do some official Concord sounds correctly I'd be happy...I don FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
December 14, 200421 yr It's Dreamfleet hands down...has more of everything plus uses newer technologies/methods.But...3 Boeing 737-100/200's in one year (2 payware and 1 freeware)...too much of a good thing...WHAT WE REALLY NEED IS A GOOD PAYWARE BOEING 737-300/400/500 still currently used by most of the world carriers. THE HOBBY SORELY NEEDS THIS COMMON BOEING TYPE AIRCRAFT and it
December 14, 200421 yr Commercial Member DF without a doubt for me... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 15, 200421 yr Well, all I can say is that I have been a long time and very pleased user of the Captainsim bird for some time. It meets all my needs for this class of airplane, so wont be adding the DF 727 to my hangar. (Though I own almost everything else they have done except the ATR).If I was purchasing (totally new) without the Captainsim experience, this would be a tough choice indeed.Eric AND
December 15, 200421 yr DF for sure.CS is ok but after one flight in the DF727 you will never look back.Frank Frank Ryan
December 15, 200421 yr Well let's not forgetCS "It's strictly an entertainment title"DF "Most realistic flight dynamics one can have within the limitataions of fight simulator" And last but certainly not least EPR ;-) I believe that does say it all... RJS Randy J Smith
December 15, 200421 yr About a year ago a friend bought CS727 and I checked it out. To me it was worthless. For one thing, it flew like a rocket. DF definitely on this one. lr.
