MILVIZ 732 RELEASED!

Sound effects will be added in either the "Hot Fix" or the planned "Service Upgrade" (that will add a better SP-177).

Great to hear. I'll await the service upgrade and then purchase.

Hi all,

This is the newest of the new for those of you who have a DX11 compatible video card and at least 1000mb (1gig) of vram. If you do NOT have these two, then installing this will simply make the night lighting not work. As well, it will pay to have the latest and greatest dx11 runtimes. (available from MS)

THIS IS AN UNSUPPORTED ADDITION.

This installer has an "Uninstaller/Reverter" built in. To revert to the original lighting system, simply re-run the installer, choose your sim version as usual, then put a "checkmark" in the box next to the line:

[ ] Uninstall D3D Lighting and Revert to Original Lighting

NOTE: this new lighting will not work with XP or non-DX11 video cards! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT MAY HAPPEN TO YOUR SYSTEM BY INSTALLING THIS.

We've now talked to a couple of real Boeing 737-200 pilots and they all say the same thing... it takes upwards of 60% power to get the plane started rolling.  Once it's moving... all good.

This is NORMAL for this aircraft.

Okay thanks.  It's good to know.  What would cause this behavior on the real aircraft?  Is it simply due to these old jets having much less thrust?

Maybe .. MB?

Any screenshot of what this DX11 look like (before/after .. e.g. DX9/10/11)?

On the support forums for the pics.

For the ground friction... it's called inertia and that, coupled with gravity... makes a plane heavy and hard to move.  Once it is moving, it's easier to move it...  As well, yes, the engines are not nearly as powerful as the newer ones on newer jets...

(just to be sure, there is NO sarcasm in the above statement... )

Are these birds still flown somewhere in North America or Europe? I checked flightaware and found a single flight - Aloha 56. I know that to many this sounds utterly stupid and that I limit myself, but for some reason I have a hard time flying routes on Vatsim (where I spend all my sim time) using the wrong equipment. I know I could log on as a eg 738 but use the 732, but it feels wrong! :D

Yes. A few.

Note in particular the number of -200Cs in Canada.

Yes I've been using them to fly around Northern Canada...also these -200c's are still chartered out so you really can find them anywhere in Canada and even a bit wider than that.

I've also been using them to fill in for Alaskan 734's as I think they fly/flew the same type of flights

For your viewing pleasure, our new DX11 Night Lighting system in our 737-200:

Regards, Diego

Hi Diego,

This really looks nice.  So all you have to do is check" Preview Direct X 10"  on the display settings in FSX to make the night lighting work? I was just a little confused about the mention of the DX11 compatible GPU? Can you please clarify. Sorry, not much of a techie here.

thanks-

Brian

Simply follow the link in the product description, download, install, and that's it. No need for DX10 Preview Mode.

thanks-

Flew on one in Peru last year. Don't know any mainland NA carriers still using them.
