August 9, 201312 yr Well said Kyle...The f@nboyz have no clue, as usual. Jeff Hendershot"Roger, Roger...What's Our Vector, Victor?"
August 9, 201312 yr And here is a prime example why RSR has waited a while to lift the NDA in the past...there's less time for posts like this. This is one of many I've seen in the last couple of days, and I think it's safe to say you guys have blown it for getting the NDA lifted so early again. Can't you just trust PMDG to do what they best? Cory Baxes
August 9, 201312 yr I so agree with the Rant. There are other posts here that just get taken over by the , as Jeremy Clarkson would call them, the enthusiasts "Well the 8-46-c doesn't have such and such". As those of us looking at the Beta Testers post should enjoy that there are things being shared comment on those and move on. wait till the final release when it is sitting on our respective PC's and open up a new thread to state your opinion,If we keep getting in stupid arguments as to thread counts on the carpet and "well the pilots seat was 3.25mm to the right " we are going to miss the real reason for these updates from the team. That is to learn the true feel for the aircraft, the special features that it contains and the realism that maters. Is the plane going to fly properly., are the systems fully modeled what is the "feel of the aircraft"?. If you have something specific about thread count start your own thread(no pun intended) and complain about it there. Sorry for taking up your time Testers please carry on. Russell Homan
August 9, 201312 yr People are so quick to pick at pmdg even though they release some fantastic products if not the best products for the flightsim world, I mean went a certain company released the airbus vol2 package there models looked nothing like there real world counterparts but no one said a bean, just let pmdg carry on doing what there doing and if you have to judge wait till your at least flying the 777, lets support there hard work people, Paul, Flying The Virtual Skies Since FS95
August 9, 201312 yr I swear I tend to dislike your replies many times. Probably because your just straight forward at topics and scold many repliers with your sharp remarks but the last thing you just got off your chest was right on. You are well educated man which I never doubted in the past. ^_^ +1 I don't post here much, but I fully agree with Benzhangar. Kyle, Jane and all the other betatesters: Don't let this "knowitall's"get to you. I am convinced that the large majority of simmers who are awaiting this release, are just glad to see you guys showing us all these video's and pictures, even you have never heard of them or seen them posting. I remember about 7-8 years ago, when PMDG was about to release thet 747-400 for FS9 IIRC. Suddenly a coffeestain appeared on my monitor, when someone complained about a bug: the number of pax-windows, being one or two off in comparison with the real thing. These will posts always be. (Maybe in the 747V2 this bug will be corrected? ) Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
August 9, 201312 yr Actually, I have to get something off my chest so that ya'll can see this and understand it. Firstly, if you don't consider yourself in this group, suffice it to say you can assume this post isn't aimed at you, but you should take a look. Disclaimer: this is me being me and is not representative of the opinions of PMDG, or any of the rest of the beta team. [RANT] As beta testers, we've been called upon to come in and pick this plane apart for the end benefit of everyone who ends up getting the plane. While we've been given permission to share certain things, that's not our primary task. Said differently, as much as we've been very willing to go out of our way (in some cases) to meet the requests (gracious as many of them have been) of the people here, it's not what we're here for. I'll take screenshots because I feel that they'll be appreciated. Froogle and AJ have created their own videos for your enjoyment as well. Granted, while this thread isn't critical of someone's work (like the initial Froogle video thread/FB post), it's kinda irritating to see that our work is being misused. When it comes to screenshots and video, there's something called compression, and until you have the final product, everything is essentially going through a filter. It's not going to be 100%, because it's not you directly interacting with the product. So when we post things, and people overreact or draw crazy conclusions, we feel compelled to clarify or explain, which is kinda irritating and draws us away from our other tasks. We wouldn't want our personal work with the aircraft reflecting poorly on it, after all. Beyond that, there's some sort of odd irritation in the fact that our very job is to find inaccuracies while directly interacting with the product, and someone is looking at a video one of us created - which is directly in line with the want of the forum to remain in the loop, mind you - trying to point out things we "missed." Would you really like me staring in your kitchen window through the potentially dirty or foggy glass, looking over your cleaning, saying "you missed a spot?" I suppose you wouldn't. As well-intentioned as it may be, it just comes across...well...as irritating. We're here to make sure the final product comes out awesomely. It is our intention to do that. Please let us do that without the commentary or stump the chump games. And I'm not the one to hold things over people's heads, but think about it: if the things we're creating only draw flak, do you really think we're going to want to continue doing those things? ...and then everyone puts the puzzle pieces together as to why there's an occasional silence in the forum between updates. For those still not picking up on that: If all that happens when you post things is that you're defending yourself (or others), chances are that you're not going to be as communicative. Think about it. Remember that one friend or coworker who always corrects you, or points out what you're doing wrong. You gonna hang around that person as much in the future? Moreover, are you going to volunteer your time to appease them? Nope. While I'm not speaking for the rest of the testers, or the team, I felt that it needed to be said. Now...forgive me while I check the accreditation of YouTube's academics... [/RANT] Well said Jakub Wesolowski
August 9, 201312 yr I have a question for the BETA testers. Since the callouts for the NGX were not load enough, is that fixed in the 777? Lionel
August 9, 201312 yr totally agree - why i have not posted much on here ive been lurking for ages and am suprised at the number of nit picking posts and people who feel they are "qualified" to point things out. i am not a qualified programmer / beta tester / pilot so in my eyes i have no right in telling anyone that this is wrong or that is wrong. Also the beta testing team are doing everyone a favour in providing screen shots and videos. They do not have to upload these for people to see but they are doing so to tease and let everyone enjoy what they see. So to all those people moaning and complaining - get real and just enjoy the previews and enjoy the plane when it is released. PMDG know what they are doing they are not novices. Stewart Cumbers

August 9, 201312 yr Isn't Jeremy Clarkson a useful person to quote lol. Love that guy "If you have any thoughts or opinions on what you've seen in the last 10 weeks, do please keep them to yourselves." ― Jeremy Clarkson
August 9, 201312 yr I have a question for the BETA testers. Since the callouts for the NGX were not load enough, is that fixed in the 777? You do realise that you can adjust the volumes in the CDU right? David Zhong New video every Thursday: Aircraft Lighting - Boeing 777
August 9, 201312 yr I have a question for the BETA testers. Since the callouts for the NGX were not load enough, is that fixed in the 777? You mean 'loud enough'? I think they were loud enough. Maybe try cranking up your volume. If you are using a surround system, like most of us, make sure your speakers are configured properly. Each sound is emitted from a specific speaker depending on a specific situation. Keep that in mind. Jakub Wesolowski
