For lousy 10 bucks, Captain Sims planes make great fashion modelling pose for screenshots:):)

 

I bought C-130s (all versions), 757s (all versions), 727s (all versions) and L1011s all of them by Captain Sim.

 

Have no plans to buy more BUT I have only ONE PROBLEM with Captain Sims. That is how to sign up for Captain Sims forums!!1 Their stupid special anti-bot security code request kept rejecting my correctly inputted code letters and I have no way of contacting CS!!!

 

In other words, I have no problems with Captain Sims planes!!! They fly fine!! It is forums that I am having hard time signing up for!!!

I guess you can refresh the anti-bot security code until a code appears that's easier to read?

 

And you can contact them via their website/via your customer account, IIRC.

Has anyone put the ISG GNS in the 727? Is it possible? Or is the VC all 3d?

I've read the concerns on the anti-bot forum methods more than once. I'd say you folks have a point since last time I've tried them, I couldn't figure out the captcha letters.  :wacko:  Means I'm I'm glad I've signed up way before they were implemented.

Same here. Some aren't that bad, but some are more like hieroglyphics then letters!

I agree about that verification in CS forums, I had to try at least 20 different codes before I got it right... 

There are three CS products worth buying, at $10 in my opinion :-

 

• C130
• 727
• 707

These are definitely worth $10, and although the systems are largely unrealistic, they're still reasonably immersive old planes, with nice visuals.

 

I also bought their 757 and 767 and honestly hated both, for a variety of reasons. I wouldn't install their 777 if they emailed me the installer for free.    I just don't think they do complext aircraft well at all; yet strangely that's what they now seem to focus on.

 

Funny, back in pre-FSX times where FS9 ruled; the Captain Sim "Legendary 727" was an amazing add-on that was lauded similarly to how PMDG products are today.   In the FSX world, their releases (although improving in terms of visuals) just seemed to become buggy and unfinished.

 

But the 707, 727 and C130 are worth $9.99 for sure.

I have no problems reading codes and like I said before, I kept inputting the correct codes yet they keep refusing accepting saying it is wrong code!!! And yes I keep trying many times

 

I do not want to contact support service because I have heard about notorious reputation of Captain Sim tech support service not answering inquires which is why I prefer Captain Sims' technical support forums which do better job offering technical assistance.

As for the 767 they need to give me $10 before i install that again.

I decided out of amusement to try my luck once more again to register with Captain Sims forums after many futile and unsuccessful attempts to get them accept my correct codes.

 

Guess what?  I got in!!!  They accepted my correct code for first time after many tries!!

I understand why people dislike the 757, but I don't get why people hate the 767 so much. It may lack overhead panel sounds and the such, but other than that it's a great plane.

 

After 2 crashes during long haul in my PMDG 747, I went for my good old reliable CS 767. Did an 11 hour flight from UUEE to Dulles with no problem. The plane has good dynamics, and not sure why people cant get the T/D to appear. I fly the plane like it's supposed to be flown and the T/D is always there. Bad installer maybe?
