Can anyone report if these work ok in Windows 8?

I've had to dump my Level D 767 because it just won't work and at these prices I might fancy a 757 and possibly a 707.

Thanks

CS really needs to do a 747-100 and 200. Even if it had issues I'd buy it cause there is no decent one available.

At this price I recommend the 727. There are a bunch of user mods on the CS forums which supposedly improve realism. I added an ISG FMC for LNAV purposes and it works just fine.  There's no autothrottle but speed is easy to handle, so that's no problem. She drops like a rock with full spoilers deployed and stops pretty quickly on touchdown; needs a fair amount of runway to take off it seems.

I have the C130 as well.  Plenty of eye candy but she just feels flat to me, particularly on landing. Still worth 10 euros though, and there are a ton of repaints out there.  As someone mentioned in another thread, a good alternative for cargo flyers

I think a merging project (self done of course) would be a good way to use CS external model/Cabin model and put it on the VC of a better aircraft.

C-130 often gets say but the B-52 rarely gets mentioned, there a reason for that?

I really dont understand why they haven't yet, I think it is in the works personally

I would happily welcome a classic 74' if they made it so the guages didn't run at such a low fps. The 737-200 engine guages are running <10fps and are extremely hard to use to set EPR settings etc. Just not a good enough for an aircraft where relying on analogue steam guages is paramount.

I don't see why all the hostility towards CS products.

I'm not here to bait the flame, but more here in support of CS and their addons. I own their C-130, B767, B707, B777.

They are all great looking models, the virtual cockpits are also outstanding.

On terms of complexity, They don't come close to what PMDG offer, but then of all the addon developers, not many do. Why is there always a massive comparison between CS and PMDG, what makes everyone think that CS should be doing high fidelity systems in their addons?

To those who question whether or not to buy their products? I wholey endorse you spending your cash on CS products, especially in the sales.

To those who say don't bother, Stop being so prudent with your hangars, I'm sure you've bought a much worse product than CS before

So,

would you share you thoughts on the C130 please, as you mention its in your hangar, also would I need an account with them first.

Thanks in advance,

Guss.

The C-130, as is the B-52 is very good. I think the main reason you don't see it mentioned here that much, is the same reason most other military models don't get much attention. This community, predominantly use airliners followed closing by general Aviation aircraft. Only a small percentage prefer Military aircraft, and of that an even smaller percentage use transport and bombers. To purchase you don't need to register. To get support you use your order number n their support page. Access to their forum, naturally does require registration but you can do that at anytime, before or after purchase!!

Thanks

Many thanks for your quick response,

I would admit myself I predominantly use airliners pretty much, but the C130 is one aircraft that just fascinates me, from seeing it at airshows mainly and in the media, I dont quite understand why its just got that something about it.

Thanks again Tom.

Like so many others, I have the 707 and rather enjoy it. No, its not incredibly detailed systems wise. But I always enjoyed it primarily for the difficulties of navigation! Throw in the CIVA INS and fly some VOR or NDB approaches. That will keep you plenty busy; no magenta line here!

Anyone use the 707 or C130 on 3 monitors?  Any issues?

I fly in VC

They are mainly in the Ukraine I think. But they have referenced the sales to UTC +/-0 so it should start and last just fine for UK folks.
