With the ridiculous price schemes that M$ tried to use with Flight - I hope not.

I for one don't give a hoot who the CEO of Microsoft is? No more than who the CEO of General Electric is.

Yep, I'm sure that resurrecting the flight sim franchise will be top of the pile on the new CEO's desk.

Sorry, I always throught that the priceing for MSFlight was very good. I was not interested in the whole world or big jets. I just wanted nicely done General Aviation aircraft (with cockpits) and well detailed land masses, where every they might be. I was willing to pay for what I wanted as it was released. I think that was the main idea and I liked it. Too bad it never got the chance to grow into what it could have been. I will continue to fly it even as it is.

Same here Steve. Rolling out a selected, detailed, state at a time for $10-$20 would have been fine with me. Add in a few GA new planes along the way and I would be happy for years to come.

Even as it is today, I still have a lot of stuff I want to do. I'm just glad MS picked my 2 favorite states first. My 3rd state would have been California. What about yours?

I think they were working on B.C. next by some of the development in that area. California would have been fun for sure. Someday we may find out.

Steve

I feel BC, California, Alberta, or Washington would be nice. I would've picked Ontario (Toronto kid), but that's too far away, and I want to fly to places I can reach without having to see boring flat land.

Good guesses.  We were actually working on the Grand Canyon next, as well as making major perf and expandability changes to the terrain so it would be easier to add other areas.  We actually got a 20% improvement in perf in many scenarios.

Well thanks for telling us that    ..Flight improvements :O

And now we're stuck with FTX Global and FSX

Wow that improvement would've been nice. I probably would've stopped lagging in Alaska when there are a lot of trees, and maybe could've increased LOD radius to 10.5 instead of 5.5, and maybe increase max vegetation in Flight.cfg. I wish life was fairer. I also wish Microsoft would listen to feedback from consumers instead of themselves.

Would have been great fun running the Grand Canyon with the Carbon Cub or a helicopter. It still makes me SO angry that they just cut the game off at the knees like they did. Such a loss to the community, regardless of what some people might think. If there had been a little more positive feed back instead of so much negativity, who knows.

I’ll second that, Steve!

I don't think it was the negativity, it was the low profit.
