What fps do I get? Let me amuse you, I installed taxi2gate Mexico City Intl. and 777 took off with 3.5 to 5 fps. I have no idea what kind of catastrophic thing has just happened over here on that but the NGX takeoff was just fine. I don't know whether to cry or laugh.

One thing. Notice the other PMDG 747 or MD-11 when you are in the 3D cockpit. I use fullscreen.

In 3D cockpit impossible mouse to right, top corner. But in 2D cockpit is possible.T7 shows 3D cockpit, but the monitor is as in Mode 2 cockpit.

T7 shows 3D cockpit, but in 2D mode cockpit therefore possible to put your mouse to right, top corner.How is this possible?

For me the difference mouse in the corner and not in the corner to 20 fps!

Just flew out of a default airport in the morning with fps struggling in the low 20's.. I am not sure why, if it's something to do with the cockpit lighting, screens or what.

Thanks for your help man, but I am pretty comfortable with the config. I removed my uk photoreal so put lod radius down to 4.5. Bufferpools=0, affinitymask 14. etc. etc.

FPS are now very very good with my new GTX770!!! For example in ground at Aerosoft LEPA, in the 777 VC I'm getting about 35 FPS...

 

Having a good graphic card is essential too in combination with a good CPU! Now I have a rock solid computer for FSX (and any actual game)

 

Another example, in a presaved flight that @dazz get me, with all cloud condition, named GPUMark, I had about 21 FPS with my old GTX480, and I'm getting 40 FPS with the new GTX770... What a beast!

And one question...what about the FPS drop when mouse is on screen?

I get between 7-9 FPS but that's to be expected on my Celeron dual core 1.8 laptop with 1gb ram. Lol. Of course it's far from perfect but I can't afford a good setup at the moment, but I enjoy the T7 anyway I can :lol:

I'm sorry Jose, you fell for my trap.  I find when people report the FPS they're getting w/o also defining, in exquisite detail, exactly how every aspect of the simulation is set up, it's just about as meaningless as the silly reply I gave ;o)  Now, I can tell qualitatively you are very pleased--so that's a good thing indeed!
