At FSDT CYVR, at say gate 51, REX 1024 clouds, Opus or AS weather engine overcast and raining?

If the answer to this is "Yes", I would love to see your FSX .cfg.

Regards,

My post was made a while ago. The situation has changed. I now have NO frame rate limiter at all. No internal limiter, no external limiter. The frame rate increase has been fantastic. And still NO stutters.

Your definitive generalised statement is based on your set up, your add-on's, your choices, and other variables.

My experience is based on no hyper detailed add-on airports, sensible slider settings.

REX textures yes, heavy ASN weather yes, UTX yes, GEX yes. PMDG 737 NGX yes.

Sim looks great, performance is phenomenal.

The variable I see with your set up is your highly detailed add-on airports. But the point, is that your original statement doesn't apply to all. So the statement that anything above 30 WILL generate stutters is wrong.

Always test conventional wisdom once in a while. Now and again, you will be glad you did. Variables change, hardware changes.

Does removing the external model have an effect on night lighting? I thought that the lighting is built into the model, so that the light up object effect works. No model, no lights...

Thanks for the hint of disabling the HD 3D Cockpit Textures. I see no diffenrence at all, but fps increased dramatically. I now get at my "number 1 worst fps aiport" KIAD from FlightBeam steady 35 FPS with FSGRW,REX and all the other good stuff - before I had 28 FPS. So, thanks for that.
