September 29, 201312 yr Since we are celebrating the release of RealAir's Duke 2.0 I thought I'd share my Duke model 2.0. This is a model I built for the AMA control line profile speed class about 25 years ago. V 1.0 sported twin Cox .049 Black Widow mills. Performance was spectacularly radical and was a real handful to fly. Unfortunately V1.0 is no longer with us.. V 2.0 incorporated a few design improvements but alas never took to the skies. V 1.0 chasing me around the circle after a nasty crosswind was enough incentive for me to retire the design and move onto less overpowered and more controllable designs..
