Any info of progress regarding SP1?

Featured Replies

I think the original request for an update on progress was regarding the fly-by-wire.

True, but Ryan said the main remaining issue was the freezes. So presumably the FBW is fixed. Hopefully there will be a hotfix to release the interim updates.

In the beginning even after a clean install of windows, FSX and the 777, I would constantly get the freezes.  It would last for 6 minutes exactly and then the sim would start working again.  I saw a couple of posts from people who said after they updated their HD audio drivers (I have realtek), the freezes/pauses disappeared.  I tried this and it worked flawlessly for me.

"The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."

I don't think it's a 777 thing also.

Shame to keep waiting for the SP1 for something that's more than likely has nothing to do with PMDG.

Yeah, some many fixes already been completed, and we have to wait for this one thing that I believe most of us doesn't experience :/ . But the FBW thing is MAJOR, and as of the List on the top of the forum, it's not fixed yet. So no SP1 until it gets done!

Had long pauses/freezes with FSX before.  Doubtful it's an issue with the T7, as I've had it with other aircraft.  I haven't had it since throwing a vista uiautomationcore.dll and updating fsuipc.  One of the two solved it I think, though I'm not positive (it's an issue that has bugged me the longest time).  I also updated my audio drivers as well, so it could have been that.

A release of a hotfix would be nice in any case instead of having it stalled because of this issue.  Some of the glaring issues have kept me away from the T7 since purchase (for instance, I just can't stand flying with a master caution light continuously on when I load up C&D).  The FBW might be a good fix though.

I get the freezes about every 15 - 30 minutes and they last anywhere from 5 seconds to a couple of minutes. I don't know why, but this only happens with the 777. I haven't had happen with MD11 or the 737NGX.

Yes! They used to release interim fixes, but this time they want to hold on to all the fixes until they get everything, even if it affects a very small number of people :/

I thought the whole point of Operation Center was to give users a constant check for new fixes without the need for SPs anymore, PMDG could fix an item everyday, people wouldn't even notice it.

Right? I'd love to get the fixes they already have while they're working on other things. Those fixes are no good if the customers can't have them.

Ya, that's what I thought they said. Now all these fixes are done but a few yet nothing. Ryan also said they would release a hotfix. Well past the time a hotfix for stuff like the cold/dark bug, fuel disagree on leg 2 should have been released. Nevermind weeks ago Armen said the 5.1 sounds would be out shortly. Nevermind them saying now that the Ops Center is stable they would start pushing things out like the sound, etc...

this is not just a 777 problem  I had the same screen freezes with the 737NGX as well as the 777

oops wrong thread. "DELETE"

I'm using T7 with Win 7-64 and FSX Accel .  After about 15 flights I can report no freezes; however it seems that during

(about)  30% of the flights there will be a period of ~30 seconds when there will be serious slow down which causes

view panning to stutter.  Only for about 30 seconds and only happens once per flight. Wonder if it's somehow related to

the freezes experienced by others.

Make sure you guys aren't using FSUIPC Autosave feature, that's a known cause for intermittent pauses int he sim.

For now I've sidelined the T7 while waiting for the SP1 to fix (if it does that at all) the issues I've been having with rejecting takeoffs with no reason whatsoever.
