The Flap deployment pics in that review, is exactly what I'm talking about! Yet the reviewer labels them "First Rate"

Just an FYI.

Hhmmm so not so good we think? Thanks for those links earlier JComm, good things to go with the JRollon Jetstream tomorrow

Me thinks next add-on is the SAAB 340. Reasons?

1)Cockpit proportions are weird. The MCP autopilot buttons are miniscule, you need a pin to press them. Cockpit windows are MASSIVE! Way too high, the overhead panel seems really high up too.

2)Liveries. $10 for, like, 8 repaints, of which about 7 are fictional. Forget it!

3)Them cursed flaps!

I probably will end up picking up this plane in the future, the 757 is one of my top 3 favourites. Maybe when some issues are sorted out, more free repaints are available, and there's a sale on :P

Still my favorite addon. Run now, don't walk.

I would buy the Saab over the Jet stream 32, if I had to only pick one. However, I have the both and they both are top notch. Just the Saab raises that notch way higher.  :P

My must buy list:

1 - Saab 340a

2- FlyJsim 727

3- MU-2B

4- 757

5- Jet Stream 32

This is based on what is released so far.

You can't compare the 757 to either the Saab or the Jet stream. They are way different aircraft.

Really? That's a severe disclosure lapse if true.

If it was just an opinionated guess on my part, I wouldn't have posted it.  But yes, it is 100% true.  Stephen is being paid to write reviews for x-plane.org add ons.  He was recruited about 3 months ago (give or take a few weeks).

Edit:  I haven't read the review.  I might have glanced at the first 2  lines, but going by what the feedback has been from a few people in this thread, it seems the review was heavily biased.  That's why I felt it important to mention that it was reviewed by someone on x-plane.org's payroll.

I did feel the review was biased when I first read it. Hmmm, thanks for te heads up.

I personally want to read at least 2 reviews before making any purchase.  Preferably independent reviews.  I love reading Jane Whittacker's reviews in PC Pilot.  Jessica Bannister Pearce reviews well, also.  And of course Pete Wright (Froogle)!

Good advice. Anyway, haven't you got a Saab update to release...?:):):)

Getting there.

Just saw Atomicfrawg full flight stream of the FF 757. It wasn't the smoothest flight, but most of that was the learning curve of the pilot with this aircraft being it's a first flight (No offense Atomic). The systems for the most part seem complete, just a couple of things I noticed.  One it seems to be missing the taxi light. It has the nose landing light, but where the taxi light should be next to the runway turnoff lights there is no third switch. On the approach page of the FMC where the VREF speds are, there is no field to select one? Other then that the systems look good. There is an annoying Flight attendant, that keeps nagging the pilot though! There needs to be an option to turn him off if there isn't already!!

Thanks

Tom

What's wrong with him? I have a long history of shopping at the org, never had a problem.
