X-Plane has already had P3D's "new" features, volumetric clouds, 3D water, global shadows etc. I like both though. If P3D ever becomes 64 bit I'll get it so I can use most of my FSX add-ons again. For the minute though, I'm sticking with FSX and X-Plane until P3D has a new feature that actually is revolutionary.

Obviously just my opinion, doesn't count for anything ;)

Unfortunately, if P3D ever does become 64 bit, I don;t think any of your (32 bit) addons will work... could be wrong, hope so  :)

That could very well be true. In X-Plane all add-ons had to be recompiled by devs in order to be 64-bit compatible.

Screen shots are nice BTW. But they do look a lot like FSX....

I think there is room for both ;)

Those pics don't look very impressive.

Neither do the XP ones (most of which are using add ons anyway, i.e. the reef/mountains and airport).

No simulators look that impressive these days unfortunately, except maybe War Thunder. Functionality and breadth of features are key. Those that can't use XP because of it's lack of mentioned features at least have a little more eyecandy and a new rendering engine moving foward.

I will say those shots look great and XPlane night is the best in any Sim.

Why can't people just enjoy the sim that they are currently using? Why does it always have to be either or? The constant sniping back and forth is getting old.

He is correct, in the Bonanza pictures I used the Society Islands (Tahiti) freeware add-on by xpfr. It's a free photoscenery add-on. That's the biggest difference IMO with X-Plane, there are a lot of payware quality freeware out there, you should see Mallorca, he Canarie Islands and Madeira freeware scenery, you wouldn't believe it's free :). Also, there is some great HD mesh freeware coming out atm. Anywho, I hope the best for P3D, maybe next year I'll give it a go.

How much is Prepar3d + ADDONS ? a couple of thousands ?

How much is XPX + ADDONS ? a couple of hundred maybe ?

I don't have to give my money to ORBX every month to make the base scenery look nice !
