November 28, 201312 yr Ses, To answer your question the default slider is now null and void with SkyMAXX Pro.....
November 28, 201312 yr Check your SkyMAXXX settings. It sounds like your overcast settings are on Low, which is a flat, 2d layer. Medium makes them puffy and high is graphical voodoo that makes them look awesome so long as you have the computing horsepower to run it. That was it. Thanks. I'm wondering about the in-sim cloud slider also, I have mine all the way left.
November 28, 201312 yr Author Ses, To answer your question the default slider is now null and void with SkyMAXX Pro..... Oh, ok...so I guess that I can just set it to zero and be done with it...thanks! Also John, where the sky meets the ground (horizon), I have some jaggies under some atmospheric conditions, no matter what setting I use inside XPX, or with N.I. Any suggestions to that? Really enjoying the diff.... It's obsolete. SkyMaxx Pro disables all X-Plane rendering of clouds. Thanks Cameron. Will no longer set it with a value.
November 28, 201312 yr I am going to provide a screenshot to see if we are on the same page....hang tight.....
November 28, 201312 yr Like this image? See how the mountains are jaggy in the middle of the scene? http://i.imgur.com/e7cuWPa.jpg Volumetric fog will have to be on for this to be gone BTW......not SkyMAXX but how X-Plane renders.......

No mountains, but rather a flat ground/sky combo. The actual line of horizon jags out as you bank left or right if atmospherics are not hiding the actual transition line from ground to sky. Now, I had to reduce this screen grab by 50 percent, so the jags are very noticeable and become worse as you bank from a 180 degree view of it. This could be XPX, but I have never noticed this jag before, and that no amount of A.A. seems to get rid of. Look out over the ocean to the horizon. It also is present under situations that give a clear view to the horizon over ground.
November 28, 201312 yr Hate to keep thread jacking, but do you have any tips for using the NOAA plugin as I have installed, It doens't seem to update as you switch airports and not sur eif there is a recommended setting for Skymaxx.

No problem O, This issue is inherent to how X-Plane draws weather, when they do it takes a few seconds for things to stabilize....... I will say noted which means we will be looking into a solution on our end with a patch......
November 28, 201312 yr Author NExt question before I give it another go, does it happen when the plugin is disabled? I will get back to you on that. Will disable and then take the same flight...
November 29, 201312 yr I have given up using the NOAA plugin. It interferes with Sky MAXX Pro. I have noticed a few weird situations deriving most probably from the fact that there are huge differences between clouds reported in a METAR and above the altitude set for NOAA injection to start. I also do not like the abrupt wind and visibility changes. I'll wait for a future version, or for a good weather injector for X-Plane 10 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I'm getting freezes now while new weather gets loaded. One minute no clouds, next pause, then sudden clouds.
December 1, 201312 yr good thing REX is making a weather engine for xplane Where? did I miss something on the site? A press release?
