Nav Data Out of Date?

I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not so I shall post any way!

Every time I start up the aircraft I now get 'NAV DATA OUT OF DATE' on the FMC. But the current AIRAC is 1313, isnt it?

Btw, my date format shown is the UK style 'dd/mm/yyyy' not the US style 'mm/dd/yyyy'

Well, an updated AIRAC is going to be coming out in five days, so if you plan on updating it then, probably best to wait it out and see what happens then. I don't have the plane, so I don't know what could cause the issue, but maybe the overlap into 2014 had something to do with it?

I get the same message too.

My FSX date is set to 11 july 2006 which is the default date I believe.

My AIRAC: 1405 from Navigraph.

If you have set the sim time to the year 2006, it stands to reason that the nav data out of date message will display, even though you have the current AIRAC installed. As far as the FMS is concerned, the database is from 8 years in the future.

i did that but still says out of date

Yours is a separate issue from above. The person above ensured he had the correct nav data, but was flying with a sim date different from the actual nav data valid dates.

In your case, I'm betting you just don't have up-to-date nav data. This is discussed in the intro manual. Basically, in order for you to have current nav data, you have to subscribe to a service. This isn't required, but it is if you want to have up-to-date data.

And before anyone comes in complaining about things like this: the US Government took the public nav data down in 2006 somewhat necessitating the change (prior to that, it had been mostly free to the sim community). Moreover, airlines have to pay a pretty penny for the same service. I'm sure they're rather chuffed that we get it for about $12 a year...
