Just got mine on the sale, not bad at all, great news on the future update for the vc textures, the only drawback I'm seeing (on my end) is not to good performance compared with more complex aircraft, still investigating what is wrong in my end.

Well, I don't mind the cockpit textures, I think they do the job. Anyways, you'll be too busy to notice them when flying this liner. I'll say this, the exterior model is superb. I like it a lot. SSG is on the right track with the 8i version 1.4.

 

What I'd like to see in 1.5?

*More optimizations to help with frame rates

*Further work on the FMC

I wouldn't blame too much on your system, I am running an i3570K @ 4.7 with an Asus 980TI Strix and still see much lower performance with the SSG 747. Lets hope with the better cockpit textures in V1.5 comes better performance

Thanks Richard for posting your experience, definitely your system is better than mine and I must admit I'm disappointed with this product for the low frames, too bad for me because I really like this plane.

Try knocking down some of the FPS killers when in this plane. In heavy weather I had to go from 8X SSAA+FXAA to 4XSSAA+FXAA

 

I also have the JAR A330, A320, FlyJSim 737, FF757 & 777 and I have no FPS issues with any of them

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high, I don't think it's a cockpit texture problem and I still haven't seen an acknowledgement from the devs on the abysmal performance issues so I don't see them optimizing it.

I heard this jet is a lot better since the v1.5 update last month. Is it reliable - i.e. will it fly a 8-10 hour long haul following the flight plan and not glitching? Also is the fuel burn accurate?

Did a bit of flying with 1.5.1. It's reliable, yes. Had some issues with X-Plane crashing. Not 100% it was the planes fault. However the problems didn't occur with the 767 or A350 during long flights.

Also tried the XP11 version without problems.
