Hi Ron!

Congrats on this! You may recall I am the Premier Guy, RB-17 no less.

Hey! Me too! Not as a pilot, but as a mechanic. I spent almost 6 years attending to the needs of RB-75. (Though thanks to my understanding boss, I did get a bit of right-seat stick time now and then on maintenance test flights.)

It was a good aircraft, and logged many many hours for our 135 operation. It was recently sold however, out of the concern that sooner or later, something extremely expensive, and currently unobtainable, (like a spoiler computer, or hstab de-ice controller) would give up the ghost and ground the aircraft for weeks or months.

It's a shame that it has been essentially orphaned in terms of support. Hopefully, that will change.

Indeed, if ESDG nails a solid baseline implementation of the PL21, it opens up a world of possibilities for many popular biz-jet model emulations. An updated 390 and/or 400A would certainly an immediate "buy" for me.

Hi Jim,

You bet!  I agree on the updated 390.  Ron is PAST sick of my asking and whining for an updated P1 as he calls it.  LOL  I don't blame him.

Glad to here you like the actual aircraft too.  Shame what's going on.

I most certainly agree too.  If ESDG nails it on the PL21 they may be the PMDG of Bizjets thats for sure.  I betting they will too.

Respectfully,

Jet

Would created by the same fellow who created the Honeywell Primus 2000 as contained in CX 2.0 suffice?

.....or is PMDG the ESDG of tubeliners?

Ha ha, now that is funny right there. :He He:

That is surely a good starting point, but a tremendous amount of additional progress has been made with some of the high end add ons in FSX since the X.

You can chuckle at the PMDG comparison but one look at their VC quality will take your breath away and their systems quality and depth is unmatched.

There is a lot more than a complex avionics package to be built into these new bizjets, but I have to admit ES is in the best position to make it happen.

I"m surely excited.

Chris, visuals are only part of a corporate jet project. The key is systems depth and systems integrity alongside decent visuals.. B)

I'm hoping for a lot more than 'decent' visuals. A lot closer to 'high end visuals' would be a good goal. I remember all those old posts about how us flight simmers are spoiled and that we expect too much VC quality, etc. etc,

Well, PMDG, A2A, RealAir, Milviz are currently building excellent systems depth with excellent or even outstanding visuals. Let's hope for the same in these new ES jets.

Way too much hand wringing over this or that feature or visual implementation gents. Take a deep breath and relax. We aren't blowing smoke...

The chuckle was over the comparisons made without evidence from us. Folks will make final judgement after we show n tell. B)

But, what else but 'hand wringing' can we do. I remember from 2nd grade how much I enjoyed a good day at Show n Tell.

Oh, I don't know about that. I think PMDG's MD-11 and your CX 2.0 are quite comparable from both a visual and a system-wise perspective.

I don't own their products but from what I hear they are good so ..Chris we'll take that as compliment.

Agree. I was not talking about the Legacy products they no longer support. What is important are the newer 2013/2014 products from all our high end developers and the exceptional level of detail they are all working at.

Every dev group improves over time and we expect 2014 to be a good beginning to that end. B)

Bring 'em on.

How many CJ1+ team members can you spot in the work hangar? The Pig in the cockpit does not count.
