Trouble is -it's still as slow as a slug for me.and has been for months. I have a fast enough PC hooked up to high-speed broadband. Every other site loads fast, but loading Avsim pages, its as if I'm running a slow Vista PC connected to dial-up.

I visit plenty of other sites no problem that have thousands or even millions more users than we do here at Avsim. If server capacity is struggling then an upgrade seems an obvious solution: It is after all a commercial site, so it would pay not to have members and potential advertisers put off by permanently slow speeds and outages. Just my tuppence worth (as an I.T. consultant who's worked for Asda/Wallmart).
