February 13, 201412 yr I still don't know whether to buy the 777 when SP1 comes out and the bugs are fixed, or to wait for the 747v2. I was primarily putting off on the 777 due to the issues i'd heard about and the fact that the 747 wasn't meant to be far off, but we've heard nothing about the v2 at all basically. Same here. I think I'll skip the 777 and get the 747. The reason I am reading this thread is because the sooner the SP1 is released the sooner the SP2 for the NGX and then the 747 are released. In the meantime I am flying the A2A 172.....amazing aircraft
February 13, 201412 yr Mmmm so you not getting the t7 because of the bugs and buy the 747v2 when it comes out, so what makes you think that it wont have bugs as well . Some people think the t7 is unflyable I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
February 13, 201412 yr No no no! It is either the fault of MS FS X or our computer set up that is making the PMDG B777X unflyable. February 13, 201412 yr I don't know how people can say its not flyable it's an amazing epic plane - yes there might be a few minor bugs but I have prob flown 100s hours on it so far long haul and shortish flights and not any issues at all. And considering they have acknowledged a few problems they will fix for free I don't know why people moan Stewart Cumbers

And considering they have acknowledged a few problems they will fix for free I don't know why people moan Because the world would be a peaceful place without moaning. The world is not meant to be a peaceful place, but to be a harsh place, with wars, pestilence and disease. A perfect world never existed and will never exist. Best to be happy with the things I already have, I must acknowledge that. This is how my mind works: 1.Yes, the 777-200LR/F is out. 2. Now I am hungry for the -300 ER 3. Yes, the -300 is out as is the SP. 4.Now I want some good taste from that 747 V2 as new screenshots drip in. 5.The hunger for the next never ceases. 6. I return to the 737NGX, MD-11, 747 and the 777 and realise life is not that bad. 7. When the other products are released it will be a pleasant surprise and I will be a more happier person. But, the anticipation and waiting for a new release I learned is a curse better not to fall in. 8. The cure is to lose my anticipation for new stuff and enjoy the things I have. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Amen I9 12900K @ 5.1ghz P-cores/ 4.0 ghz E-cores fixed HT off / Corsair iCue H150i Capellix Cooler/ MSI Z690 CARBON WiFi / 32GB Corsair DDR5 RAM @ 5200 mhz XMP on / 12GB MSI 4090 RTX Ventus 3 / 7,5 total TB SSD (2+2+2+1+0,5 all NVMe)/ PSU 850W Corsair / 27" (1080P)

I'm not saying people have a right to moan as PMDG are fixing the issues, but come on let's not bury our heads in the sand. Matthew (SuperG) Rhoden
February 13, 201412 yr So, will SP1 require a complete uninstall and reinstall? How did that go with SP1 for the 737NGX? Rob Robson
February 13, 201412 yr yes you have to uninstall fsx first than your o/s system, than re install your o/s followed by fsx than you should be ok, worked for me on the ngx on the sp1 I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
February 13, 201412 yr The NGX' SP1 required a valid installation of the NGX. +1 ... and nothing else. So no complete reinstalls or whatever! Enjoy flying and happy landings.
February 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member Does SP1 require a complete uninstall and reinstall of the PMDG777?orDoes it just update the installed product?I try to prevent uninstalling things from FSX as much as I can to prevent problems. So if a complete reinstall is required, or considered the better option, then I would wait for SP1 before I install the PMDG777 (again) For what it's worth, there were quite a few times in the Beta process where we had to uninstall it fully, and then go root through a couple directories to kill all references to it. It's really not a big deal if you make sure to do it right. I completely understand where you're coming from, though. Removing programs in the past was a lot more perilous because of shared files, and files being scattered all over the place that remained after the install that would mess with future installs. My bet is that you'll just install it over the top, though. Your Rebuttal Kyle !! What am I answering to? haha Kyle Rodgers
February 13, 201412 yr Thx for the info guys. What I will do, since I am in the middle of reinstalling anyway, is; install my basic scenery areas (GEX/UTX) only. Then I will make a backup image. Then I will start to play with additional addons (REX,PMDG777,OPUS,airports) This way I can return to the image and start from there if the 777 (uninstall) re-install turns out to be messy.(which I cant imagine to be honest). February 13, 201412 yr Every day I look 3 - 5 times to precisionmanuals.com because of the SP1 and the -300ER. Frustrating Johannes Myer Philipp Schwaegerl
February 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member We all know how you hate Uninstallations!! ^_^ haha - if it's required, I don't mind them. I just don't like how it's usually the first step people do to fix problems that don't require it. Kyle Rodgers
