An Interesting Future for Outerra

Featured Replies

Small note:

The second video is a showcase created by the talented PythonPago to demonstrate the various possibilities in suspension scripting.

You can find the thread here : http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=3032.msg32213;boardseen#new.

He has also shared this model with several manuals for people who wants to test it and modify it : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3ZscF0ox2AGVWZPRnpwZENlNEU/edit

  • Well, Outerra has had only one variety of flora (pines) for quite some time, but have little birdies seen the future?

  • I think of it this way: there are two approaches to making a sim, particularly a flight sim. One is you make the planes and the things that go with the planes, and paste a somewhat satisfactory sketch

We will not see river support until next year (upcoming update will probably feature new collision system for vehicules, multiple light sources and some other stuff) since Cameni and Angrypig seems really busy with some third party projects support but in Outerra there is always someone to found a cool small trick !

User KW71 is testing a massive water mesh wich will make possible hand placed inland waters :

It's not a perfectly clean solution, but it will probably a good tool until we get proper water vectors support. I can't wait to fill the lakes and rivers around Talkeetna

Woah! That's looking great ... Bring on those water vectors!!

Ladies and gentlemens, it seems like the first commercial application of Outerra is going to be revealed sooner or later : http://titan.im/www/index.php/page

TITANim is a global simulation project, apparently military oriented.

this is interesting. there seams to be there was a silence for a month or 2 for outera. now there is a lot of activity . is there a reason why?

Outerra tends to move in approximately two month spurts.

Which means there should probably be an update soon!
