Featured Replies

Hello guys.

Just looking for some help as im pretty new to P3D. I have been trying a few tweaks etc for a couple of days and am getting stutters (default aircraft, havent tried to port over add ons yet)

My specs are;

Intel i5 2500k, 4.5Ghz

Gtx 560 Ti GPU

Here are my settings;

The only tweak in CFG is;

[JOBSCHEDULER]
AffinityMask=84

Any help is greatly appreciated, Is there other tweaks i should be adding ?

Kind regards

i5 and affinitymask at 84 do not go together.. it is for hyperthreaded cpu's only.

Give 15 a try for Affinity Mask as well.  15 seemed to be the general consensus when P3D was released.

Ok i have tried 15 for AF.

I am not currently struggling with FPS, that's not the issue, its more the stuttering which is apparent, What tweaks/settings would potentially ease the stuttering??

By the way, in NI, under ''Vertical Sync'' what should i have that as? As i have set it as adaptive in the main settings?

Cheers

Watching this thread as I have a case of the Stutters also, driving me crazy.

Your video-card is too weak to run P3D without stutters

You should have about 8G physical-RAM

I was going to upgrade to the GTX 680 2Gb, would this be sufficient.

the above link is a multi-gpu comparator good for most cards

the page is set up for GeForce GTX 560 Ti vs Geforce GTX 680

you can change the cards shown in the tow boxes in the top section that will change comparisons.

P3DV22 can use up to 4070MB VRAM from my R9-290 that has 4G so even a 680 may have stutters as I think the VRAM has a lot to do with that

and a Titan might be inviting trouble at 6G because that opens a way for 32-bit induced OOMs

Now, I do use an Ultra-HD monitor of 3840 x 2160 res so if your only on a HDTV it may suffice

To be blunt NO - at least 4gig card or you are wasting your money take it from someone who has

Yes it would and gainward makes a very nice product - but shop around maybe you can get a better card for same money - if so make it an evga - rock solid support if you have a problem with it - they will give you a new one if you have a problem with it - had to return my 1st Titan - ah you not being from the states - that gainward might be a great choice - look around a little more - but you have made a nice decision imo
