FSUIPC4

Recommended Posts

Just downloaded the latest version of the this software - with the intention of trialing and maybe buying it - the reason I am using it is I have trouble getting all my controllers (warthog throttle and stick and Saitek rudder pedals working all together) so someone recommended trying this.

Obviously have read the manual but I am still struggling to figure out how it all works - I am really only interested in the controller part of the product so can someone talk me through how it all works (in simple terms because I am  not so good with IT stuff) or direct me to a beginners guide - have managed to find the add-on window in the prepar3d menu screen at the top......(just read somewhere I might need to purchase the licence to let me see the controller functionality?i downloaded the software from the simmarket site).

Maybe you will find some help with this and other videos from virtual_aviator on youtube:

oh and yes, you need a registered/paid version of fsuipc to assign and calibrate your gear

"just read somewhere I might need to purchase the licence".

That's true.

SimMarket should list the price also.

FSUIPC has a forum for for you to use.

One of the best tools you can buy for FS.

Yes, buy the paid version. You will not regret it. I think it was the second addon I bought for FSX, and now I use it in P3Dv2. It helps a lot, and can do millions of things that just kinda nag on you.

Aside from the website, there are a TON of sites and people who have code and can answer all the question you have, even some for individual aircraft settings you want all over the net. Take your time, set it up the way you want it and it will be your best friend.

Hi there,

See this video please, it might help understanding the settings and what actually can do for you before you decide on getting the license.

I find this FSUPIC a very good program sorting out all the controllers, switches and axis.

I hope this video will help.

Best regards,

Alex

Definitely get the paid version it's money well spent. I have had it for years and i'm still amazed at how much it can do.

when you get everything setup just  the way you like it go to the modules folder and save a backup .ini file somewhere safe

so you don't have to start all over. it will save you time and you can just keep updating the settings as you learn all the program has to offer.

Once you set it up for individual a/c you'll wonder how you got along w/o it. It looks daunting at first because FSUIPC does so much but you'll see that things are broken down into sections and it makes it much easier to understand at first. Once you do one a/c it's just a matter of repetition.

I can only endorse 100% what the above poster's have stated. I would only add that once licensed, all subsequent updates are free...

...and there have been many, MANY updates over the past dozen years since I first paid for a registration license. BTW, the license covers all versions of FS and P3D one might have installed. :Applause:

thanks everyone I think after all the praise I will go for the licence.

once I get the licence how can you activate the product and the controller functionality?(note I skipped registration when I originally installed the software)

When you first install FSUIPC a screen will appear asking you to insert your name and password(s). If you have already installed once, simply install again and the registration screen will appear. I also believe you might be able to enter your reregistration details via the Sim Menu --> Add-ons -->FSUIPC --> About tab if you have already installed.

I would also like to endorse what all the people above have said. A Flight Simmer should NOT be without a registered copy of FSUIPC no matter what sim you use.

You simply re-run the installer, and it will ask you to enter your registration information.

Definitely get the registered version. I have assigned most of my controller settings to FSUIPC including trim but not the "top hat" switch (the FSUIPC assigment makes the hat movement slower for some reason).

Great little program.
