July 2, 201411 yr Here's hoping the engineer (surgeon) does a good job with the rivets (stitches). We don't want a repeat of this product release delay... err, I mean a repeat of RSR being sick again! Matthew Bellette
July 2, 201411 yr Why make an announcement which will send the waiting trolls crazy when you are about to go into hospital to have an operation? It defies any logic. Maybe why resting up a short on-line course on business management practises would be advantage here. Of course, if it comes out tomorrow or in a year's time it does not matter, there is no competition out there to push the envelope. Flight simmers will purchase it eventually. You could always purchase a Majestic Dash 8? Andrew Barnett: "to learn is to know the difference"

You could always purchase a Majestic Dash 8? Because it's what the "waiting trolls" wanted. Everyone wanted that PMDG offer more info on the SP1, and they did. Now you're complaining that they offered more info... Also, if you're looking for a 777, why in the world would you get a Dash 8? July 3, 201411 yr Last time I checked with my internet business school, the case study on PMDG as an outstanding example of successful entrepreneurship was still in there! :P What happened to AVSIM
July 3, 201411 yr I apologise for not signing my name on my reply. Andrew Barnett is my name. I have been a member of AVSIM since 1996 under the non dom de plume of Oscar de Wyldde. I have been an keen observer of the trials and tribulations of Microsoft Flight Simulator since MSFS4. The aircraft simulation from PMDG is second to none, they have been the leaders in producing excellent quality aircraft. PMDG is one of the best companies because they provide the immersion serious flight simmers like. The product sells itself because it is the best quality. I ask the following question, because I find the practise annoying and I have seen it repeated over and over again by everyone in the fs industry for the last 18 years. Why make announcements about immenient release of a new product which drags out into a serious of revisions which can last a whole year in a few cases? Is it too much to ask that vendors only make announcements about immenient release when they is ready to release the new product to the general public within the week with a reasonable 80 per cent plus assurance of doing so?
