You also say to uninstall the 737NGX liveries??? What doe the 737NGX liveries have to do with the 777 SP1 update

As I understand it, this step is necessary because the OC itself was changed to a new version at the time of SP1 release. In the past, if you wanted to add a new livery for the NGX, you would download an individual livery file (a self-extracting executable) from the PMDG web site to your hard drive, then run the file to install the livery.

Going forward, the OC will be the exclusive interface for managing liveries - not only for the 777, but also for the NGX and the JS-41. Instead of using a browser to visit the PMDG web site to download individual liveries, you will download and install new liveries from within the OC.

The problem is that existing liveries for the NGX (that you may have previously downloaded and installed as individual files), cannot be managed by the new version of the OC. That is why it is necessary to delete the original liveries, and then re-install them using the latest version of the OC.

Wish I had known this Ryan. I just came back from vacation on Tuesday and I installed the SP-1 update and the 300LR without reading the boards, much it my chagrin now, as a lot of my previously installed 777 liveries are now missing from my hanger. Plus my EZDOC settings have changed and I now longer have external views and some internal ones as well. Has anyone have any ideas as to what I can do. I also have act sky next 5, do I need to install the update they are touting.

many thanks

In the OC you should be able to select repair to bring back any liveries Patrick.

Run the EZCA config tool and select configure FSX.  This will bring your camera views back.  I forgot to do it before I started it up

My understanding of it, is  the original  download  exe  that you first purchased  and downloaded.  Either way its  the download exe  that you download from the pmdg product page  to your pc.

"Release to Market Installer"

It's the product that is released, compared to a beta installer, which is not released to the market.

unfortunately  all my external views only that I had on  EZDOC for  the T7 both version's have  now disappeared . The person who in installed my EZCA FSXGenius and who is well known to this community scammed me out off £400 and then disappeared.

FYI I am in a wheelchair and computer illiterate

Hi guys,

I am doing a clean install, I have bought the 777-200LR, 300ER, and have the patch 1b downloaded as well.

What is the correct order to install ?

Is it 200LR, 300-ER and patch 1b OR 200LR, patch 1b and 300-ER ?

Thanks

Hari

I am not sure whether you have to install the SP 1b at all. Does the base pack not already include the SP? I would install the 200LR first. Then, take a look into the PMDG OPS center whether it announces that an update is available. If so, install the SP; if not, install the expansion (300) directly.

Cheers,

update I got all my EDOC external views back with much thanks to Ryan

" make sure you run the EZDOC config tool as administrator"

"...a complete product and that includes automated installer and uninstaller for common scenarios (such as above)..."

Think that  the pmdg 777 is much more complicated than the other products you say  do a better job of installing.  Since this was a major  update  I cant see any problems in doing  the steps provided. :P
