asn dense cloulds hardly dropped it.

 

Not sure that you referring  that asn  has textures,  since  its only  a weather  engine  as  Stan has posted  above your post

Maybe I should have said the beta sp1 update is running smooth on my set up, also was just pointing out that the beta update for ASN is available to try.

For ASN FSUIPC is not needed at all, in fact it's recommended all FSUIPC weather functions are turned off.

 

Not correct. ASN handles all smoothing and FSUIPC is not even necessary for anything ASN related.

 

I was referring to FSXWX.

I have NOT tried it.  Where exactly do I try this beta sp1? Link or more information on this please.

Active Sky Next all the way hands down :), Also u dont have to set in the weather settings of FSX maximum cloud layers ASN does all of the injecting on cloud layers for u as long as u have detailed clouds ticked
