September 29, 201411 yr Moderator I keep thinking that if a (monstrously patient) user can do this with these preliminary tools, imagine what will be possible later! Just give me an SDK . I'm itching to get OSM data into here.
September 29, 201411 yr Author Breathtaking amazing shots! Now, i know it is Your shots and i am sure that lots of community members have already taken note of Outerra, and yet: I still think it would be a good idea to post some screenshots of these great developments at the screenshots section here at the forums every now and then! But then again - as it is most importsant of all: Thank You very much for sharing these great captures here with us and for all the effort undertaken to keep Outerra crowing, progressing and continuously developed at such a high level! WOW! Ok, I will do a selection for the screenshot section And of course, thank you very much for your support, it really motivates me to keep working on this (crazy) project !
September 29, 201411 yr Very interested to see what this looks like when the river is actually a river. I can imagine a few jaws dropping. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

Very interested to see what this looks like when the river is actually a river. I can imagine a few jaws dropping. ... me to! October 1, 201411 yr Author Download v0.5 - 4mbAfter the remote locations and the multiple airstrips of 0.4, I hope you will enjoy this different type of urban landscape !This update mostly add a large area in the south/south-east of Talkeetna. I was not planning to go so far away, but I got more free time than expected and have been able to make a full 10*20km zone. To be honest, I'm not sure that I will go much more deeper in this direction. It just takes too much time to build semi-urban areas, and fairly monotonous to work on these.I'm still happy with it, because despite the time spend on it, the result is really cool and makes the Talkeetna approach by the south far more interesting Changelog :New *Road layout and building placement for a really large area of the south of Talkeetna *Fields placement in the south-east of Talkeetna *Added a few missing buildings and fields on the west bank of the river *Added Carl's Landing Airstrip (south of Talkeetna) *Added a cool spot for testing cars and trucks Fixed *Some improvements on Talkeetna (city and airport) Other *Campos for Carl's Landing Trivia *You may find a peace sign and a smiley in a field. This is not an easter egg but a real thing New models required in 0.5 ! : Paul Moffat's crate : <http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=2444.0> newS'trucks : <http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=1525.0> I'm not exactly sure of what will come next. The 1.0 is supposed to cover the whole Talkeetna area but it's almost the case right now. The city is done (some adjustments are still needed), the east is a completely wild zone, the west is done from the fields near the bank of the river to the remote airports near Denali park, the north area go up to Princess Lodge and the south is now way less empty with this update.Maybe am I gonna work expand the scene to the north
October 1, 201411 yr You've done more (by hand) than anyone would have thought possible. (or sane!) Even if you stopped now, there is so much for others to build on that its amazing. I mentioned on the forums a while ago that we needed a test area to show what Outerra could really do, and you've delivered even before the developers could! Excellent, excellent work! With Levi's planes, and Bomber helping with JSBsim, and now you with your test area and Awac9's videos, not to mention the uptick in enhancements by the developers, people are finally sitting up and taking notice in large numbers. Congratulations. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. October 1, 201411 yr Author Thanks Levi ! Oh, and trust me, if Cameni can confirm that this is going to be trully compatible with the next road system, I will not stop (if not I will wait for it to be released and go berzerk-building an other area) I have a few other locations on my list, but I want to finish Talkeetna first. Most importantly, I will replace some of the actual buildings with more accurate ones when they are released by our fellowship of model makers. Not to mention adding things like this or this.

October 7, 201411 yr Author Thanks Wolke! And about the next road system, Cameni confirmed me that it will use an improved version of the current one, wich means that my scene will be compatible with the future update
November 8, 201411 yr Author BTW, I'm not dead but I've stopped working on Talkeetna since everything is mostly done for the tools we already have. Next step, south of France : LFNA See thread here : http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=3001.0
