Those clicks are great.

You wanna fly in XPX then go anywhere in Austria / Switzerland or PAMX .  HD Mesh2.

Holy S..T, those shots look incredible. I wish I could get my XPX to look like that. I have tried with world2xplane, but my scenery looks screwed up so I have given up on it. I have watched som youtube videos in how to do it, but I guess I have missed something, so for now I fly with "default" scenery. If you could give a short summary of what you're using and HOW you have set it up, I would be very greatful.

It took me a little while to get everything sorted out, but trust me it's worth it! For World2Xplane, have you worked through the tutorial found here? This worked vey well for me. Make sure to run the program on only one CPU core. Using multiple cores usually resulted in crashes for me.

My list of installed scenery is currently this:

- HD Mesh V2 from Alpilotx

- Alpilotx tree lines and farms

- SimHeaven ZL17 photo scenery

- Libraries (Ru2, FF, OpenSceneryX) > See the World2Xplane tutorial for links

- SimHeaven OSM continent scenery

- World2Xplane autogen for selected countries (this is optional really, the OSM scenery is really good for a start)

- Some of the Xplane "lego brick" airports (go here) - optional

- Real Terra Haze for athmospheric effects

And lastly, the only payware in the list, SkyMaxx Pro 2. (again, optional of course)

Note that FlyWithLua, Python and possibly some other resoures need to be installed for some of the addons to work. Usually this is detailed in the respective manuals. Just make sure to carefully read all the documentation that comes with the plugins and you should be fine.

And, for anyone thinking that installing and configuring all this sounds like a lot of work: I've found that even with all the addons, Xplane was much faster and easier to set-up than FSX/P3D. I think I did most of it one rainy afternoon, not counting the download times for photo scenery though. I needed a full weekend and more to set up P3D V2 properly after reinstalling Windows, and it was more nerve-wracking by far!

Many people simply say they can't have X-Plane because they have FSX or P3D. Just install both and enjoy both like many of us do. Just because you install X-Plane it doesn't mean you have to throw your FSX and investment down the drain

Fair enough. But I'm already splitting my time between FSX, DCS, BoS and RoF. Not to mention, trying to finish developing a couple of models for Team Fusion and CoD.

Personally, I just can't find room for it now. It's always on my radar screen though. Things may change...

Thanks a lot for taking the time to show what you have used, but I must admit it's a bit too overwhelming for me. I wouldn't know where to start and in which order etc. so I'm downloading the different things now, and maybe I will have the courage later on to see if I actually can find out how to install them all. :-)

If go from top to bottom in my list that should work fine. Anyway, there's no need to install everything at once - easy does it.

By the way, here are a couple more screenshots.

I really like how accurate the autogen is. Note small details such as parked cars and street lamps.

Nooooooo, don't show any more pictures, you're torturing me :-) Where's the 3'rd picture from the bottom taken?

(just kidding off course, DO show some more so I can see what I'm missing out on :-) )

That's in the vicinity of Lucerne, Switzerland. The mountain in view is the Pilatus (where the company got it's name). A very beautiful area, both in the sim and in reality too

I'm considering X-Plane, but all these shots are with addons, show me box stock default X-Plane, no addons at all.

Holy moly, that first badge is awesome! :D

Why, prefer a version which doesn't look as good? How about helping yourself and having a look at the official website.
