so it could be something regional towards Russians why this scenery is not the quality as the Polish ones, who knows?

Can't imagine that. DD shouldn't have made the scenery at all then.

I also have my opinion about Russia and its neighbour countries but I was looking forward to the scenery and bought it immediately, because my flying has nothing to do with my political meaning.

I rather assume pressure of time and money. However, disputing the causes doesn't make the scenery better. If Stanislaw wants to have satisfied customers he should calm down and improve the scenery. And we should also calm down and give him the necessary time.

Mike, you are welcome. I hope it helped.

Regards,

Harald

Lot's of questions and comments being deleted over there... Even some really good ones, I never imagined it would be from a small developer this sort of customer acting.

Stan has listened and acted.

Version 1.1 now released as update.

Capt_Sig_Day.jpgmce_forum_banner.jpg

Well - I just installed the update, and my frame rates at UUEE are still poor (10-12 fps) on my 4 yr old system (locked at 30). I normally get much better than that. Very disappointing. :(

Unless I have reinstalled the original file DD has learnt nothing.

Here's a story; Many moons ago there was a company called Ariane (maybe still is) who released a pay ware 737 despite not knowing something as simple as how to make _L textures correctly. So I edited them and sent them a copy. I was chastised for reverse engineering their _L textures! …of course they then went on to make them correctly.

DD has been told quite clearly that land class files should be in a folder that has a scenery folder but no texture folder as this causes OOM's

So has this be implemented in the update?….not in mine.

Are the frame rates still the lowest of any scenery I have?….yes they definitely are.

FS9.5 is above all for virtual pilots who like to fly so smooth frames are normally taken for granted.

Have a look at the Afcad (if you dare) ..are the runway lengths and widths correct? no… that's just for starters. Trouble is none of this is worth fixing if the fps aren't there.

What about the important stuff you can't see ….like approaches?

EETN is fantastic scenery. UUEE is poor…..how can that be?

Hm, the LC files being in the UUEE\scenery folder before are now in a single scenery folder. But there are new LC_**** files in the UUEE\Scenery folder instead.

The Afcad seems untouched, according to it's date. Instead, the old static planes have e newer date.

It's just... - confusing!

Meanwhile UUEE is No. 5 in the week's bestsellers at SimMarket...

This time I did check "Remove Approach lights" at install. Now my FPS are in the high twenties. Far better btw than LatinVFR'S KSAN (but that is another topic)... But I again agree with Ed that EETN and UUEE are like day and night in terms of accuracy..., visuals..., dynamic scenery..., high resolution phototerrain... mysterious.

Because #1 ..... over the last few years, FS2004 users have become starved for "new stuff".  As such, there has been a group of users who cry out "Support developers who continue to give us "stuff"".  Those who are more hesitant have been rebuffed by said people.  There are those who will buy ANYTHING "new" ....... just because it's new.

Because #2 .... at this stage of the game, most expect that FS2004 developers are mature enough to get it mostly "right".  This is especially true of developers who have a proven track record and skins on the wall.

When you combine Because #1 and Because #2 ..... you get a high volume of sales ......AND a large volume of dissatisfied customers when things go South.

To be honest, my purchasing of new "stuff" for FS2004 is done ....... unless someone offers a quality product at a decent price .... and it gets very good reviews from the supportive masses (that means FS2004 forums personages).

Thanks to those who have saved me money on this one.  I REALLY like my freeware UUEE scenery now!

Installed just now after sleeping.

Puzzled.

PDF manual shows v1.1.

Landclass files still in main scenery folder though to 1kb from 2kb previously. As expected FS9 crashed.

Placed the landclass files into separate folder, as before, ... no crash.

Not sure whether simMarket has totally correct v1.1 update however I feel disquiet about this scenery.  Never thought I would say that about a DD product.

 …My apologies…I was not clear. I do indeed mean Stan.

This is especially true of developers who have a proven track record and skins on the wall.

For me, DD was one of them. I have all of his sceneries except Miami (aren't interested in this edge of the world), I found them to be of the highest standard and thought I could buy any DD scenery without any doubts. Obviously, conversion from a small developer towards a big one isn't that easy. I hope that he will be able to recover from these difficulties so that we can enjoy EPWA and UBBB without such difficulties.

It is my understanding that DD took over from other developers (in trouble) both Miami and New York projects.  Neither of which were smooth sailing and IMHO Stan, after dropping the toe in the water, won't be back to the good ol' USA anytime soon. Just goes to show that when one leaves their 'core' interest things may not go as predicted.

Pity about Riga ... DD would have lapped that up.  Nevertheless onward and upward to Baku and hope an FS9 version will be developed.

Capt_Sig_Day.jpgmce_forum_banner.jpg

I have just google translated a comment from Stan on his forum.

"So, now the workshop EPWA and UBBB , made by separate groups of performers"

I think that answers some questions for me.

Indeed a most valuable contribution Ed.

It can be assumed DD will themselves look after Warsaw whilst the 'other' group will produce Baku.

These days Taxi2Gate and LatinVFR also boast two separate development groups.  Seems to be contagious, rather like Ebola.  Sorry folks ... in very poor taste but couldn't resist.
