Another example of how this company has given outstanding service with all its other products. I don't have UUEE but I have all their other products and have always been pleased with their quality and product support

Which is why we all bought UUEE without a second thought.

 

The only airport add-on I have wanted a refund for is UUEE ….crazy eh? :mellow:

I think many of us suspect that UUEE was actually developed by a "third party", certainly not the same people who developed the Polish airports and EETN. I have all the DD sceneries and UUEE is the worst by a country mile. It was very disappointing, but worse was the way messages of complaint were removed from the DD forums. They simply do not want to even try and fix the scenery.

But then Warsaw should be perfect.

I'm happy to give DD another chance, but I will not be buying anything from them in the future, until I have seen the feedback from other puchasers. I hope they can redeem themselves, especially with Warsaw. I am less interested in Baku as I would probably never fly there anyway.

Those who have this scenery might try disabling ground shadows... I read somewhere that this is a potential issue for FSX sceneries ported to FS9.

True, but so much for reality. I always have ground shadows turned on ... if performance is adversely affected I don't fly to that airport and don't purchase from that unprofessional developer again.

 

PS.  Love my shadows in P3D v2.  Only reason for buying it 12 months ago.

100% with you on that one - in the screenshots forum I have to bite my tongue when the FSX crowd post all those shadowless shots...

Strange ... I get 33fps, locked at 33fps,  all over.

While disabling shadows did a lot fps improvement for other sceneries, in the case of UUEE it didn't help much, at least for me. What did the most improvement for me was installing the scenery without approach lights (possible as option during installing).

Thanks to a post on the flightsim.com forum, I went back:

 

 

I flew some circuits, using all possible approaches:

 

 

I even changed planes, and went up close:

 

 

... and it all seems to work rather well!

 

The CTD issue is caused by files which the installer duplicates in the Addon Scenery\Scenery folder: LD_5712.bgl and LD_5812.bgl.

Rename these to something else, like LD_5712.Rubbish and LD_5812.Rubbishtoo.

 

I can't recall if the installer ever gave me an option of pointing to a dummy folder.

Probably not, because then the problem would have been spotted immediately.

Please do not make idiotic installers that simply Do Things to my sim.

Update released, looks like a redesign of the entire scenery.

I had an email from Simmarket, but when downloaded v1.6, the files were all identical to v1.1. I don't think the actual file has been updated yet. :(
