October 10, 201411 yr Author I have to say this DSR tweak has made a positive impact on my P3D. I would say, an extremely positive one! Keep in mind that I am using a 46" Samsung LED HDTV with a native resolution of 1920x1080 and I'm sitting about 3-4' from the TV, so this screen size at 1080 does not scream sharpness. Thanks again for posting this, Richard! EXACTLY - Some just dont get it and like to scream BOO HOO lol all the power to them - Your welcome Aviator - my pleasure Rich Sennett
October 10, 201411 yr Ok now I noticed that setting your DESKTOP resolution to the new DSR resolution allows windowed programs (P3D) to run in this res. My rant before had to do with true full screen applications, I'm sorry.

October 10, 201411 yr You can also go to DSR settings under the following: Display/Change Resolution/...at the top you will see what ever you set in the DSR. I have set to 2.0, so I see an option to change to: 2715 x 1697
October 10, 201411 yr Just for clarification, if you're running FSX or FS9 in full screen mode, then you SHOULD select the new resolution inside the sim.
October 10, 201411 yr Author Just for clarification, if you're running FSX or FS9 in full screen mode, then you SHOULD select the new resolution inside the sim. I am not using Mitch's method - I just change resolution in P3D menu - if its not doing something I must be dreaming the results are superb - if you use Mitchs method this is why I would think you are seeing different results - doing what works for me Rich Sennett
October 10, 201411 yr @Richard:I hope you can help me. I am not at this moment where I can be happy with my results of DSR like you are. :( I change the resolution to a bigger one but nothing changes, It´s still shimmering. I see no difference after I set DSR Factor to 1.2 and Smoothnes to 33% My Monitor is a LG IPS235P 23inch with 1920*1080 resolution....
October 10, 201411 yr Author Rich, what are you changing it to? High? Ultra-High? Which one? Not sure what your asking - all I do is go into P3D menu where its say 2560 x 1440 - hit the drop menu and there is now a higher resolution to pick from that was not there before - thats it - I also only changed image quality in Nvidia control panel to high quality - the rest is factory except for turning on DSR 1.20 % - thats it - I am not on my machine right now btw Rich Sennett

October 10, 201411 yr Author Have you guys noticed that there is a new version of nVidia Inspector: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html I have thanks - not using it anymore - not needed in my case - one less thing to worry about also Rich Sennett
October 10, 201411 yr Is DSR specific to the new 900 series video cards? I thought that was something Nvidia was promoting with the 980 and 970. Anyway, I have my 970 on backorder so hopefully will be able to test very soon (FSX only). If you live near micro center, they are in-stock. They suck at updating their website. FYI. October 10, 201411 yr Hi, I am reading this with interest. However no one will tell me how do I see this DSR. I am running a gtx 780 TI and in the control panel there is no ref to DSR. I see some people here are using lesser cards and say they are running it. What do I don't understand here. If you are using a gtx 780 TI and are using this DSR fix please explain how you have done it and please also don't refer to othe threads bcause I have read them all and so far no one has said how they have done it. Can we all have some help here??? Thanks Nelson
October 10, 201411 yr You MUST have driver 344.24 in order for DSR to be available in Nvidia Control Panel. William
