Hi Vic, I agree with you. I don't know why some people here are so adament of having an exact schedule. For instance in the real world a B777 pilot taxing out of the gate at Toronto and is following an Air Transat a/c to the active rwy dosen't care if that Air Transat a/c is going to Hawaii, Cancun or Miami. He cares if the a/c is taxing too slow or cuts him or someone else off. Its all about the immersion factor of having a/c around you that are moving to the rwy for take off or landing and taxing to the gate. Just my humble opinion. Nelson

Hi, for those interested, I just completed a flight from Cyyz to Cyul with P3d ver 2.5, ASN(latest) Fly Tampa for both airports, FTX global and FTX Vector and Proatc. I deselected the default ATC so only PROATC was active. I also used My Traffic Ver 6 and stopped the default P3D AI traffic. I have to say it was one of the best flights ever. Everything worked as advertised and the frames were more than acceptable using unlimited even with fly tampa toronto scenery. The AI using My traffic was to say the least outstanding. PROATC kept me advised of all taxing a/c to what ever rwy was assigned. Nothing and I mean nothing went wrong with this flight. Even in the air I continued to hear traffic from PROATC and also saw lots of overflight traffic. Every addon preformed as expected. Maybe I just got lucky but I don't think so. I didn't over tax the system and used reasonable settings. The rewards were great. Hope others have the same results. Good luck Nelson

I have my traffic 6 installed and working. At my home airport of CYTR Trenton on I see traffic on the ramp, however nothing moves. I don't hear any communication with atc. Is there a way to tell when the traffic should start to be active, like if these a/c are flight planned when they will ask for taxi instructions. If I go to a big airport like toronto things start moving almost immediately. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Nelson

I have both and like them both. I was a beta tester for ASN from the very beginning and was with them for over 10 years. I think I used ASN with P3d ver 2.4. During that time I tried ASN but it caused stuttering with P3D. We tried everything to no avail so I bought Opus FSI. It worked very well with P3D ver 2.4 and there was NO stuttering. Then along came P3d Ver 2.5. Got Opus going with that no problem. So I said to myself, why don't you try ASN? So I did with the new version to work with P3D ver 2.5. It worked like a charm and NO stuttering. What went on with ver 2.4 I am not sure but there was stuttering with Ver 2.4. I am now using ASN as I always liked it and maybe a little partial because of my involvment but OPUS does a fine job also. Its a win win situation if you have both. Just my 2 cents worth Nelson

Well Robert that is what I did. It is a very difficult program to get running. There is no magic as you say. It's just luck of the draw. When I mean un install I don't mean through the add or remore programs in the CP. From the interface of preciptx clikck on the un install button. Then do a re install and then scan for new aircraft. That should do it. Hope this helps Nelson

Jarkko, I posted a message on the 6th 0f Jan asking a simple question to Mourad and Clive. There were 2 replys both by me and the post was seen by over 300 people. My question was quite simple, I thought someone would at least say no it's not working or yes It works for me, but nothing from anyone. Thats why people are frustrated with that site. I find it hard to believe that at least one of those 300+ people had aor didn't have the problem described. I know I will and have commented if I see a problem that someone is having and I personally had the same issue or had seen an answer to it some where. That is why most fourms are helpful. Simmers helping other simmers. Thats the way it works most of the time but not on this site. Sorry Cheers Nelson

I have the FTX ceneral showing but no FTX Vector even though I have installed the latest ver and reinstalled the latest lib fix. I see no cars on the vector roads. Is there a step I for got?? Nelson

Harry, everyone is waiting to use FTX global scenery in P3D ver 2.5. They (ORBX) have released an new library that makes this possible. It is a temporary fix but it works. You can now use it in Ver 2.5. The ref to Toronto was for anyone who wanted to see what FTX Global lights looked like with the Fly Tampa Toronto scenery. Thats all. 30 I believe is the latest ver of FTX Global. Nelson

The new library for ver 2.5 works like a charm. You have to follow the directions to the letter. This a temp fix to use FTX 30 global scenery. Its on their site. If you really want to be impressed look at the screen shots I put on the FLYTAMPA site under Toronto. IMHO The night lighting is very impressive with Martin's new golden coloring rwy lights which I asked him to do for me. Your opinion may differ but I really like it. Nelson

As far as I am concerned it is the worst forurm in the flight sim world especially lately. The program still has issues but for the most part is working which is a God send to most loyal purchasers. They seem to only update there forum once a day. It's all very very frustrating Nelson

James I used the original installer. The point is you have to uninstall preciptfx then install it again. This is after you have installed p3d ver 2,5, just not reinstall precip Nelson

James, what I had to do was uninstall precipitfx and then reinstall to p3d ver 2.5. The snow and rain now work. I am not sure about the wheel effects although they say they work. I don't know if you have Fly Tampa Toronto scenery but there was a problem of people reporting that they could not see the blowing snow effect even thought they had the item checked. Turns out in order to see it you have to have the scenery density setting to at least Normal. I had mine on sparse. Theses things are not written down any where. Try the reinstall it worked for me Cheers Nelson

Hi, I have finally got the snow and rain to work in P3D ver 2.5 however the spray and wheel effects some people are claiming to get elude me. They are not present on my system. What have you people who have them working done. Please explain Thanks Nelson

Like most here I am disappointed with Toronto. I don't know what it will take machine wise to give good results. Compared to Montreal, well there is no comparison as far as smooth frame rates go. Toronto just doesn't cut it. I was very disappointed with the rwy and approach lights. I can't understand what they were thinking. I am afraid I have seen better lighting with freeware sceneries. I have Montreal and Hong Kong ( Kai Tak) and they both perform several time better than Toronto. I think FT you really dropped the ball on this one. Just my 2 cents worth. I so wish the comments could have been better. Nelson

Hi, I have the very latest ver installed and I am getting the exact same weather situations as described in the first post of this thread. Very strange weather updates and cloud change issues. I am flying along and poof every thing changes. It happens again and again. Something is not right I fear. Any other suggestions Thanks Nelson

Consider your selves very,very lucky because a lot do have these stutter issues for whatever reason they exsist or did Nelson

In had also struggled with stutters until trying this fix in P3d. It really works even though it was developed for X plane. How it works I don't know but it made a difference to my P3d. Thank you and no more OOM's Nelson

Hi Richard, I had these stutters. I could not get rid of them. Tried all the suggestions and tweaks. Nothing worked. I have posted a thread on this site under P3D fourm. It's called got stutter's maybe you want to try this. Read the whole thread. This worked for me, why I still don't know. Iwas also having OOM and p3d crashing. I DO NOT have these issues anymore. As the thread says these suggestions are for X plane not P3d but in my case it did something to my system and I still don't know what. For me the sim is as smooth as can be and no more OOM. I am now flying instead of tweaking. If you try it I hope it works for you. I just installed Orbx Norway and it is a real joy to fly. BTW I am using a Nvidia GTX 780 T graphics card, P3D ver 2.4, opus weather, soft clouds, ProatcX, FTX Global and FTX Vector> I fly the default lear but have the ifly 737 for P3D Nelson

Well, still no stutters and I have My Traffic back in the equation and NO OOM. I just installed Orbx Norway and will do some flights with that. I usually jump in when a new P3d update comes along but this time ver 2.5 NOT. It has taken me too long fighting OOM and stutters to give this up now that it is working as it should. Time to fly and enjoy the sim finally. It will have to be a fantastic update and I just don't see it coming. Just problem,problem and more tweaking. Just too frustrating Nelson
