I flew this bird now and it's quite nice. I would say that the developers have not left many mistakes (read bugs) into this product and therefore most of the con's which have been discussed are mostly just made so by the developers for certain reasons - there are very different FS pilots around and it's just very hard to meet everybody's needs. A product may be good on one side, although a bit worse on another side. Now the question is that which side does the pilot notice more and which side is the priority for him. It may just be that the folks like me and a few others who have been a bit rude against the developers before have a bit other demands for an addon and therefore we might simply not see at the first place the fun which the PC12 provides. I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of guys who are not even visiting the forums, who buy the product from Flight1's site, start flying and have got another very fascinating addon. It's usually so that the more demanding users are jumping around in the forums, because they want some more, they have noticed a few bugs or cons which a normal simmer doesn't notice or just want to show out either good or bad emotions.Littlebit about the product itself. I really loved the exterior model which was probably one of the most advanced ones I've seen with Flight1 products and the sounds were very very well done. The GPS has quite enough functions for a not too crazy simmer and the PFD certainly took my attention in the beginning as it was admirably smooth and looked realistic too. It was quite good to hand fly the airplane and I didn't find any trimming or other issues myself (using CH Yoke for flying). At least the beta testing has been well done and everything what has to be there certainly is. I guess all this is more than enough for a user who wants to have fun with a plane he loves in real and provides pretty good environment for more advanced users as well. There ofcourse were points which were not modelled as I was hoping before the purchase, but I guess it is more or less this way with all FS products and I am not going to report those in this forum just to keep the things calm. I would certainly recommend this product for every flight sim user as long as you are not the ones who even didn't find the LDS767 and ATR72 to be realistic addons. Fortunately Flight1 offers the refund policy, there is no reason to doubt. Now I just have to say something for conclusion. As you have understood, this post came out rather long, but I'm trying to say out everything I have in mind, though in a bit illustrated way. I feel that I was a bit unpolite blowing out some negative opinions earlier today and a public forum like this one certainly isn't the best place for doing it as a lot of developers potential customers are visiting it. I just don't want to make this hobby a thing where I have to choose every word I say very precisely to avoid being locked out by other people including the developers. I'm certainly not the one who wants to get into developers black lists as I'm not planning to drop this nice hobby in near future so I guess that at least for some time, I will have to continue being very selective on the words I say about payware addons. In my opinion, it certainly decreases the level of fun you can have with FS as you always have to be afraid of something (mostly because of the words you may have said in the forums) and should better be quiet if you want to proceed along without troubles. I'm not talking only about myself, but I guess some other people are feeling kinda same right now (if not worse in some cases not to mention the names). If talking about Flight1 then I'm very sure the developers who are posting here and in the Simforums conferences are or at least were a bit ###### today seeing the negative feedback users have left to the boards. They have been fighting quite bravely and it's very common to human being as they don't want their project to get a bad smell among all the users. I'm also sure that they have now found out what they have done wrong and I'm glad they are at least looking forward to correcting those few users demands in a patch. I'm anyways quite unhappy reading for example the little war on page 3 in this topic between a developer and a customer which at least in my opinion doesn't look neither an ethical way of resolving issues with a customer nor like anything that should occur between the members of the overally pretty small group of flight simmers who are truly inside the hobby. User "danowat" anyways had a point in his posts and think about it. What I'm just trying to say is that let's all learn from our mistakes, let's not take out all the fun and let's not try to make this hobby a political game which requires more time in forums instead of the sim itself!! :) Hey, I could have been flying while writing this message, I just felt that I had to do it. Blame me if I was wrong.

I think it is a good value for just a few bucks over the PMDG 1900 series. Bob... :)

I'm tempted to buy this aircraft if I could see some more interior pics...Sounds like the FDE is pretty solid...

Going to stick with the freeware model as it looks as though Flight1 have gone OTT with the VC (again!) and knocked the FPS into slideshow territory (just like their previous Bonanaza release - on my system at least). Not everyone can afford a new PC purely to fly a new addon :DAdamWin XP - ARIA 3200PCPrescott 3.20 GHz - 2GB RAMAsus ATi Radeon X800 Pro TD 256MB19" CRT 1600x1200 @ 100hzAudiophile 24/96 Audio

Interior... well here are a couple... Outside/in view of the freight version and inside view of the passenger version, as well as the moving visor :-)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114084.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114085.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114087.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114088.jpgThe real attraction of this aircraft is not so much the interior, as much as the flight deck! Keep that in mind as you evaluate if you want to have this bird in your hangar. The exterior is really good as well, BTW.There is a 1 hr video that shows how to fly this aircraft in real life (KBOI to KSUN)... Coupled with this airplane, it is a real treat!Only $10 if you download it.. http://www.flightvideoproductions.comMemories of the Meridian..

I get very good FPS with the PC12 VC and I have similar specs. Just did a test and I was running in the 20's with the VC for most of the flight.3.2c HT 800FSB 2GB RamPNY 6800GT 256MB

Thanks so much Bert... Can you post some shots of the cabin looking forward from the back of the plane to the cockpit??? Also some night shots would be wonderful of the cabin as well. Some pics of the inside of the Cargo version would be great also... :-) Thanks again...For comparison purposes, can you guess this cabin shot???http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114101.jpg

The cargo version looks awesome... :-eek The Pax cabin, well..... :-hmmm If Flight1 would update the PAX cabin and add some better night lighting, this thing would look awesome on the inside (all the way around)...http://www.airliners.net/open.file/619708/L/Love the virtual cockpit. Can you post the same angle shot of the VC at around say 2200 hours??? Thanks again Bert and how are the framerates for you in the VC???

Looks pretty good to me...VC is flyable in the low 20s on my P4-2.8. The 2d cockpit which I use 99% of the time in this plane is pegged at 30fps.These are all the shots for now :-)

Reading this thread, and especially the comment about the interior visuals of the newly released PC 12, I have to come to the conclusion that people are talking about different addons. Therefore, I would suggest the following "thought experiment": Take as a benchmark the virtual cockpits and cabins of 1) Eaglesoft's Citation X and Citation CJ1, 2) Dreamfleet's Beechcraft A36 and 3) Flight 1's ATR 72-500.If THESE three aforementioned addon planes are the BENCHMARK FOR VIRTUAL COCKPIT, PANEL, AND CABIN DESIGN, then by THAT standard the PC12 is sub-par, and no amount of massaged screenshots is going to convincingly suggest otherwise. If you have different standards, then you will come to a different evaluation. No harm no foul. However, from MY point of view, newly released addons should not fall behind the design standards set by other addons. ricardo
