Let's See Someone Model This Aircraft!

Saw this in my wanderings about the web: http://sploid.gizmodo.com/first-photos-of-the-largest-airplane-ever-now-in-manufa-1688085252

Absolutely gigantic! The scale from the pictures with people is mind-boggling.

wow, bigger wing span the ole Spruce Goose but the fuselage on Sprucey is still much bigger. Pretty impressive.

If you ever get a chance to visit Ole Spruce Goose I highly recommend it.

Interesting.     I would like to fly that in the sim !!

And some folks still believe Bill gates was the Microsoft partner behind them producing the MS Flight simulator program all those years back.

And not Paul Allen, a man with his own Aircraft museum,  the exhibits of which were used as reference material for MS Flights DLC

Why don't you model it?

Hah - you funny man!

Way beyond my skill level. I would not even know where to start...

I did have the pleasure of visiting the Evergreen Aviation Museum and the Spruce Goose. It is immense, that's for sure, but somehow the scale of this newest endeavor seems more ... massive.

It was also way beyond my skill level too,  but I took the time to learn.

I leaned how to model aircraft because I wanted one that wasn't available. I didn't expect some one else to provide it for me.

And also functional whereas old Sprucey only did a short hop.

If you seriously think that was the intent of the OP, I have nothing further to say to you. Enjoy your cookie.

f you seriously think that was the intent of the OP,...

The  tille of the OP's thread actually says what his intent is:

Would love to see some pics

This needs to be modded into Kerbal Space Program, not FS.

I agree, The OP was talking about making a model and so was Gerry. Model making can mean digital or scale modeling, either form takes skill and learning a new craft. I highly recommend model building to anyone who ever has the time.

I used to model Radio Control Aircraft and the thing about that hobby is every single model aircraft I ever built inevitably crashed, so I got out of that hobby as it was no fun watching 100 hours of model building crashing into a field. Also I had to get my finger reconstructed when I nicked it with the airplane propeller and it was dangling off, they had to reattach all my tendons and rebuild it from the inside out.....oh the fun of model making
