Maybe I should post in the PMDG and ASN forums asking them why their products won't run in FS98 or on my Kaypro?  How dare they drop FS98 users!

By the way, no one has mentioned FS98's beautiful purple sky.  Boy I miss that.  Yeah, I know there was a "fix" but that just made it so unrealistic.

It's part of MSFS's plausible world model.

I've actually been given copies of FS98 and FS2002 about a year ago. Threw both of them away since i'd been flying FS9 then FSX for awhile by that time.

Another arm chair someone trying to tell me what to use in one of those other threads.

 

So Randall, with the purple sky did you also get the Purple Rain, Purple Rain?

I don't understand the why people are not breaking the cosmic rule that states you must use FS98.

Does the PMDG Sopwith Camel come with weather radar?  If not, that's a deal breaker for me.  No weather radar kills the realism.  Also, I don't see sushi mentioned in the EULA, but it does allow ramen noodles.  But what if I am entertained by making ramen noodles?  Can I still play?

I'm not seeing the add for Windows 10 but that's because I have Windows 3.1 running on my Kaypro II.  It did take a few modifications to FS98 and Windows, but staying up three nights in a row tinkering with the system is, after all, what flight simulation is really about, isn't it?

 

My late Yorkie was very smart -- I'm sure she would have learned to fly a real plane from FS98.  My wife has never found any version of FS either entertaining or educational, and would no doubt report me to Microsoft if she saw me being entertained by it and knew about the proedutainment requirement.
