Disabling "Similar Topic"

Featured Replies

Every time I go to a thread I'm presented with an option for viewing similar topics.

How does one disables this? I tried the X and the cog wheel and it does not respond to any clicks.

I'm also experiencing this issue, anyone have any ideas?

It was asked for by many; now we'll hear from the opposite POV...

Agree, it's really distracting.   On some threads, I am only being displayed with each individual post at a time, with this 'similar topic' stuff underneath.   Reading a thread now takes 5 times longer.

Should also help with the server load when it doesn't have to generate that list of similar threads every time.

I mean, there's some use to the feature in general but only if one would be interested in receiving that overview in the first place. Perhaps a simple button for an on demand solution would fit better, if the forum soft allows for it.

this only  happens  in the hawker  forum only, for me  anyway

I really hope we are not entering another period where the forum software gets features constantly added then taken away again.

The forum has been stable and fast for a while now, let's not break it again.

We are looking for a solution. It happens only in the Hawker forum because we just created the forum. When we created it we had to remove a check mark that stated something like "Include Similar Topics?" and somehow forgot or did not see the check mark.

Best regards,

Great... Thank you Jim.

This should be fixed now.  There was an obscure setting deep in the admin panel and the last two forums we created weren't exempt from this little bugger.  Let me know if you still see it.

Sincerely,

Chase
