Man those look amazing but I can already here the DING OF DEATH from here and I haven't even bought this yet.   Autogen just murders my VAS, even on 'normal' settings in 2.5 P3D.    Even still though...  this might sway from from the ORBX camp.  Those look extremely good compared to FTX Global which I have used for a long while and like but I am always up for the next 'thing'.

Yep...  that would set my PC on fire.. not so much in the FPS/Stutter department, but my VAS would be torn to pieces before I reached my destination in the heavy hitting airliners I fly.   Impressive screen shots none-the-less.    Shall consider this product and put it in my wish list.

You would be surprised how lite it is on VAS. I have turned all autogen settings to max flying FSDreamteam KLAX to KLAS in the PMDG737 landed in Las Vegas with over a gig of VAS remaining according to fsupic. Fps were 30-33 all the way.

 

I put up a video on YouTube of the flight just in case your doubtful.

Feel free to check out the video. Link above. I may have dropped down to 28 or 29 fps and vas maybe 900,000 etc. Just estimating that I was nowhere close to the vas limit and fps were great.

 

I show my settings at the start of the video.

 

Keep in mind though I do not use ai traffic as I try to fly online. So I can't vouch for memory loss due to that variable.

 

Also keep in mind I'm using a 4 year old computer. The only upgrade is a 970 video card. So for most people on this board your fps can and will be better than mine.

I'm planning a flight for tonight or this weekend from KIAD to KLAX. Both payware. I'll let you know how it goes.

I use 1024 textures as I see no difference; my old eyes just don't work that well anymore.

How is this GEX with the recently released UTX_EUv21 for P3D ?

GEX and UTX work very well together. Both developers worked closely to integrate the products. On the GEX interface it will detect UTX and you can check to install the textures.

Would love to see some direct comparisons of the same locations of ftx global and vector against gex and utx2. I'm temped but it's a lot of money to switch.

From what I can see the autogen looks more realistic(smaller). Can anyone confirm this or post some shots preferably UK or Europe with comparisons.

I really don't like nick n and others attitudes to sim enthusiasts using prepar3d, they are very derogatory and dismissive towards the software and the users but it could be the better product. Not sure yet.

Maybe global with utx might be almost as good.

Hi Richard, thanks but I read the entire thread already, I saw those shots from 2 pages previously. I've been following the topic with interest.

I was actually hoping for some non developer screenshots.

I was wondering if anyone had taken direct comparison shots or come across any on other forums.

I remember when orbx launched England or Global there were a ton of side by side comparisons of different locations all over the place.

Maybe they just don't exist anywhere.

In my opinion GEX looks much more structured, not as messy as FTXG, when I compare it with google earth pictures, which looks more realistic and that does catch my interest.

But what about FTX airports for Global? Are they working with GEP3D?
