August 4, 201510 yr Which SOP set are you using? B shouldn't come off during the Before Start Procedure. At arrival, the Elec Pumps stay on unless you select FINAL SECTOR to "Yes", as they would stay on during a transit. SOP 2 (button) The second question is all clear, thank you. But during Before Start Proc. F/O not off system A elec 2 and not on system B elec 1.
August 4, 201510 yr SOP2 is Virgin AUS. I would suggest SOP1 as the default SOP, SOP3 is so good but very different and imo should really only be used when flying Ryanair as its very hands on. August 4, 201510 yr It's actually the Captain's job to turn Hydraulics A off before push so that's something you should do yourself instead of the FO.. Last thing you want is the nose wheel steering to pressurize during pushback.. Like some of you have said, it's a precaution that prevents accidents as well as the nose wheel strut itself.. In CFG Fs2crew has a point about turning off the hydraulics before you push. I have YES, and F/O does as described above. Of course, I can disable this feature and disable the hydraulics myself.
August 5, 201510 yr Just tested today the option to get the hydraulics A off during p/b and it works like a charm with the SOP1. The FO turns both hydraulic pumps A off and leaves both B on. Romain Roux Avec l'avion, nous avons inventé la ligne droite. St Exupéry, Terre des hommes.
August 8, 201510 yr SOP2 Voice, FO didn't turn off Hyd A pumps even with option set to turn them off. Correction, FO sets pumps to following state: HYD A ENG: OFF HYD A ELEC: ON HYD B ELEC: OFF HYD B ENG: ON
August 8, 201510 yr Commercial Member At that airline (SOP 2) they always use bypass pins, so the crew would not turn off Hyd A. I'll check it out though. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
August 8, 201510 yr Just to note, SOP3 they turn off the HYD SYS A for precaution even with the bypass pin installed. Vernon Howells
August 10, 201510 yr Really it is the exact same thing that they do in the Airbus They just have a switch for it and its called "Nose Stearing off" In the 737 we are not so lucky, so the only way to stop the Steering is killing the HYD. Best Regards Lukas Agerskov
August 13, 201510 yr IMHO, if there is an option to turn off HYD pumps, then they should be turned off, no matter which company SOP is used. Or this option should be disabled for some SOPs.
August 13, 201510 yr Just one notice about turning ON the HYD A after engine start. At this time, while using GSX or AES for pushback, if the engine start is completed before the pushback ended, FS2CREW turns HYD A on while the plane is still moving. Is any workaround possible? Victor Tsvetkov

I'll address that situation in V1.1. Thanks for letting me about that. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
