October 2, 201510 yr Commercial Member It's amazing how Prepar3D v3 looks good in vanilla state! Even ground textures look pretty good and convincing. I've just added SweetFX to correct hue a bit, nothing else. FPS was ~70 while taking the screens, almost max settings. V3 is defo bonanza! Enjoy the view! Thanks for stopping by! October 3, 201510 yr Moderator Great looking shots, especially considering the default ground textures. I'd really like the give v3 a shot as I have never had v1 or v2, but im afraid my GTX670 2GB card will not be up to the task. I'd be happy to get it just for the cloud shadows and VC shadows, but even with other shadow settings turned off and autogen levels set to reasonable levels, I'm not sure my card would be able to cope. Looks like v3 is a step in the right direction. Maybe I'll be ready to upgrade my system by v4. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

So far I'm quite impressed by how good it still runs on my system. No doubt with a Skylake and a 980ti 4Gb it will be far better in both performance as wel as graphical beauty, but I can see this replacing my FSX-SE install on this machine as soon as some addons like FTX Global become compatible. October 4, 201510 yr Looks very convincing. I have 2.5 right now with my sliders not maxed out due to occasional oooms. As soon as ORBX has its installers for most of the regions I will definitely go for it too Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
October 6, 201510 yr Good looking shots but I am curious as to why you still use Sweetfx when V3 has expanded their HDR settings to allow for enhanced environment? I would have figured that the expanded HDR settings would eliminate the need of Sweetfx. -Jim Engage, research, inform and make your posts count! -Jim Morvay Origin EON-17SLX - Under the hood: Intel Core i7 7700K at 4.2GHz (Base) 4.6GHz (overclock), nVidia GeForce GTX-1080 Pascal w/8gb vram, 32gb (2x16) Crucial 2400mhz RAM, 3840 x 2160 17.3" IPS w/G-SYNC, Samsung 950 EVO 256GB PCIe m.2 SSD (Primary), Samsung 850 EVO 500gb M.2 (Sim Drive), MS Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit
