PMDG 747 wins the Avsim award

I have to thank you, if it weren't for your review at simhq.com, I would have never known about the aeroworx B200 and I would not have purchased it.The King Air B200 is almost the perfect add-on in terms of being well-rounded.I hope AVSIM asks you to do a review or so as your review style is good.Jeff

Yes we do :-madThe "D" domestic version was to be included...but they got greedy and decided at the last moment to develop the "F" version for more money!>We don't need to hear anything from Randazzo. Congratulations>to PMDG on winning.

Congrats Gary!!!I'm glad SOMEBODY won the award. 'Twould be a dark day indeed if no-one won. Could you imagine? Yikes! Both rock. Opinions differ. Buy em both and make your own reward, or reward that of your choosing buy purchasing it.Oh, I have my opinions, based on reviews, support responses, patches, what have you. But I own neither, so I will not share that opinion. I will say that it's such a small margin in my mind on which to get that I've decided to wait till I can get my hands on both.Congrats to the winner.Congrats to the honorable mention.Congrats to the father of a bouncing baby boy.Chablis all around.-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!

Really happy to see the Aeroworx B200 get it's just rewards. What a jem !!IMHO the LDS767 and PMDG 747 are both great and I would have had a very difficult time picking a winner.Steve

Good call Ed its one of the most awesome aircraft i have ever seen.As for the LDS/PMDG slag off going on above it really shows how personally everyone takes there simming and the number of individual items people like in preference to others. We are around at a great time with numerous superb products(ATR.Koch Concorde,F1 727,PMDG,LDS,B200)so just lapit up.My personal opinion in why the 747 ha sit over the 76 is the new ground it broke with the high fluidity of its VC cockpit which has never been seen before in FS.I dont think LDS have done themselves any favors in terms of the complete product with the FMC database either if comparing initial releases. It will be interesting to see what the PMDG offering looks like after 2 patches as well. From where i am they are both great value and worth far more than there retail prices.Darren

Not to offend avsim.com , but i wonder how much money pmdg paid off the voters to choose their product.i have no other explaination why they won over LDS...

>Not to offend avsim.com , but i wonder how much money pmdg>paid off the voters to choose their product.>>i have no other explaination why they won over LDS...>>I'm sure Tom and AVSIM are in fact offended by that accusation, and I know PMDG is.

>Gary,>is that after Service Pack 2? I haven't installed it yet since>it right now causes havoc with my goflight equipment (which>I'm sure Doyle will fix soon).>But the main reason (besides ILS app sometimes misbehaving>badly) why I've had a hard time flying the Level-D has been>the IMHO bland 2D-looks. What you show here looks much much>better than what I see on my system. :)And it's much better than what I saw in San Diego. I didn't mention this before, but two of us at the show, made the same comment at the same time about the comparison between the 737NG and the 767 panels. I am trained and train other people to be ultra critical of video displays, that is how I make my living. The other person that noticed it was simply a simmer commenting on the clearness of the 2D cockpit and how easy it was to evaluate the display, after he too , looked at the 737NG. Last night after I returned home, I looked at some screen shots from the F1 web site, and I still get the same impression. Probably , most people wouldn't notice this issue, but I did, and this is why I made the intial comment. It just my impression, as I stated before and some people will agree and some will disagree.... :)

Mike, As usual, my friend, your logic runs hand in hand with your intelligence and flying ability -- it's always right on the money. I could have added a few other 'personal' thoughts, but I'll keep them to myself . . . and only say that I believe the PMDG will eventually end up a very pricy but classy add on, once a big patch is applied, whereas the Level D has already reached that mark . . . but again, there can only be 'one' winner per catagory.Best, Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. "Not to offend avsim.com" and then you go ahead and do so. You come into our forums and then accuse us of taking a bribe???? You have just worn out your welcome here.

>Thats my opinion...>how else would you explain the results..>Hmmmmm........ how about ground breaking VC? Or a ground breaking fight model? Or place Active Camera in the approach mode and watch that aircraft make a hard landing. But then, you would have to own it to see the wing flex and compression of gears. I love them both and find your opinion disappointing, distasteful and rude.Bob...
