January 24, 201610 yr Author Been there, done that, stuck on the highway for hours, some cars empty/abandoned, fuel running low... listening to the radio promising help, then suddenly hundreds of bundled people walking past in a mass buffalo-like exodus, leaving behind a car graveyard for who knows how long. Many people are stuck here, as well, God knows how many on deserted back roads where only Freddie Krueger hangs out. Total mess. Also luckily, I'm not one of the huge number of people without power right now. (Knock on wood) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNSFsi0oEjA We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... January 24, 201610 yr I hear ya Devon and I am from Nova Scotia so I am well aware of these storms, but now I live in New Zealand so today I am wearing just shorts and drinking beer and thankful I will never have to shovel snow ever again for the rest of my life. January 24, 201610 yr Author I will never have to shovel snow ever again for the rest of my life. I don't think anyone likes shoveling (except doggies, who jump to try and catch the snow) but I suspect I might actually miss the white stuff occasionally if it was never around. January 24, 201610 yr BTW... partly cloudy here in Denver today... 59°F but it's gonna get colder and wetter for the big game tomorrow.GO BRONCOS (please...) Hi Allen. I live in Denver too......Go Broncos!!!! I was wondering about your banner " Colorado Flight Simmers" is this a online flying club or some kind of VA? Good Day, Jefferson
January 24, 201610 yr Hey Allen!! How you is? Greetings from PHX!! We moved to Sun City West, AZ last July!! Don't miss the snow and the 5 month winters, but it has been cooler than normal here. El Nino I suppose. Still playing with FSX quite a bit, but can't get motivated enough to get into the sophisticated stuff. Jeff -- Allen and I were part of a group of flite simmers in the DEN & COS area. There were around 10 of us, a few years back, that met in Castle Rock about 6 or so times. The group fell apart due to distance, varying interests and differing opinions on how to conduct the meetings. GO BRONCOS and CARDS! Bruce
January 24, 201610 yr Moderator Hey, Bruce! Good to hear from you... glad PHX is treating you OK! Too bad we weren't able to get together once more to tell tall tales... LOL! Still fiddling with FS9 here, just tooling around the Denver area, with an occasional XC here and there. Jefferson -- like Bruce said, it was a little group we had back in the day; I run into some of them on other FS Forums from time to time. Honestly, I liked the Banner so much, I never changed it! I still have the Templates if you're interested; PM me. GOOD LUCK BRONCOS! Alan  (sorry for the hijack...)
January 24, 201610 yr Here in New Hampshire (New England), the storm got vectored out to sea before entering our airspace. GO PATS! Kevin M. Manley
January 24, 201610 yr Author Here in New Hampshire (New England), the storm got vectored out to sea before entering our airspace. Some places here got as high as 32 inches....... January 25, 201610 yr Did that last longer than the two minutes thirty something seconds of the video? no the two minutes of the snowboarding did make me miss New York in the snow and the NYPD's response was classic. Last time I was in New York in Winter was the big snow storm in January 2011 when they couldn't collect garbage for 2 weeks due to the snow banks burying the garbage, David Letterman made lots of jokes. City can handle the snow very well though and awesome when people do get out and enjoy it. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
