>Lol! I'm glad you made your decision, Bob. Enjoy it, then>tell me what you think!>>-Jeremy>The Ozark Dogfighter>>Happy Flying! It is Great!!! I just flew from Miami to Tampa landing at dusk in a rainstorm with 1 mile vis and 600 foot ceiling courtesy of the Updated ASV and the plane flys beautifully. I hand flew the ILS, and it was as solid as a rock. It is going to take me a little while to get the hang of the differences in the 737 and this, but the sounds, the view, tha handling, all are great. The only problem I had was some whiney passengers in the back complaining about the temperature......:)

Hasn't this topic been beaten absolutely to death already??? With over 1,000 posts it would be obvious to me that you already KNOW that the forum is restricted to LDS 767 owners. You already KNOW that this gripe has been mulled over in this forum en masse. You alreay KNOW that despite the complaints that this won't change. You already KNOW that considering that PMDG won an award and a brawl started by those who think that the 767 is better should tell you something. You already KNOW that there is enough SEARCHABLE information on this forum alone on the LDS 767 that 100 people could make a decision. Why dredge this dead topic up again when you KNOW all these things? WHY? :-rollSo, here, I'll make you this offer. Purchase the 767. If you absolutely HATE it, post here in THIS forum for the world to see that you think it is not worth the price and I WILL PERSONALLY refund your money. That way you get to look in the forum risk free and the issue and this topic is instantly resolved.Regards,Mike T.EDIT: I see you bought it, love it, and the rest is history.

Oh man, that settles it. If it's good for Bob it's good for me. I'm getting one.On our school bus, if some whiney kids complained about the heater, we would play "freeze-out"! Next time they complain Bob, just pop open a window or two. The loss in cabin pressure alone may be enough to shut 'em up :-lol:-lol:-lol-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!

>>I give up, after reading your post, I just bought it.. :)>>Awww Bob, now you going to make me go out and buy it too! ;-)hehe it is on my adjenda to buy may have to move that purchase date up a bit. :-)

I read the whole thread... most if not all of this is true.however, the forum issue has kept me from the purchase. just does not sit right with me.the simple question remains, why not allow the public to 'view only' the support forum?the answer to that specific question I dont think has ever been addressed by the developer(s)just my opinion

The LDS 763 ER is a sensational add-on for FS2004. I bought it a while back and am most impressed. I think it's the best add-on a/c I've ever had and I've had literally hundreds over the years. The only big-name add-on I don't currently possess is the PMDG 747-400 and that's because I don't have an internet connection on my FS machine. But notwithstanding, the LDS is incredible and the manual is also outstanding. It works better than any add on I've ever had and it saves and loads with an active MCP and active FMC with saved routes. So far, touchwood, it's never gone wrong or failed to perform in any respect, and I am hugely impressed.Maybe I knew to expect this because it is the successor to PiC 767 and that was highly acclaimed. So the pedigree of the LDS 763 is very strong and good.Anybody with doubts should banish them from their mind and just go and get it. And then join the forums which are excellent too.JS

>>the answer to that specific question I dont think has ever>been addressed by the developer(s)Yes, it has - repeatedly. The tech support forum is there to provide assistance to those who have legally purchased the product, and not to those who have procured the product by other means. Also, it's meant to direct general, non-support related questions to the general forums, so they don't clog up the support forums.

'Yes, it has - repeatedly. The tech support forum is there to provide assistance to those who have legally purchased the product, and not to those who have procured the product by other means'Hi Bob, If I get you correctly, your stating that even in a 'view only' mode, a pirate can still gleen some information/answers even though it may not deal specifically with his/her problems? If that is true, I have to admit that does make some sense. I assumed that they did not want pirates to actually post up. Thus I suggested the view only mode.

By the way, this is the thread that I started, and in the mean time I bought the Level D 767 and it is one fine aircraft. I have logged about 10 hours on it already and it works and looks and performs perfectly. I checked their forums, which I now have access to, and they are well run and their appears to be a very high level of participation by the folks from level D, in answering questions. I still don't agree with having a locked forum, mainly because I fear it might start a trend. While I own mostly Flight 1 products and like the money back guarantee, I also notice that Flight 1 sells products that just seem to work very well. That is not the case with other companies and having the heads up, of reading the forum prior to plunking down your $$$$ is a good precaution, and to me , is like reading Consumers Reports, or Epinions.com for evaluting a future purchase. Now all that being said, if you are hesitant about buying the 767, don't be .... just by it, you will love it.. :) :)

Well I just purchased the LDS767 and took it for a quick circuit and well, Im lost for words. This has got to be the best add-on I have ever purchased, Unbeleivable. Its so smooth running, nice looking fun to fly aircraft. I have been putting this purchase off for about 4 months now and I regret not purchasing it 4 montha ago, again unbeleivable. Recommend this addon to any one, out of 10 i give it a 14.Now I just have to get used to it, Where all the switches are and stuff, much diffrent than the PMDG 737. Well got to go flick some switches.

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Well! I am convinced!I have tried recently to cut down on addon purchases, but I have a backdoor or backlash reaction to the bulk of the replies to this post, and wonder if anybody else shares my reaction. The fact that the forum in question has cut out all of the threads that have absolutely nothing to do with the enhancement of any experience I might have with the product is a gigantic plus in my book. To be able to possibly find an answer to a question I might have without many of the posts appearing that have nothing to do with an answer to my question will be greatly appreciated. This plus the reputation of the supplier in question and the mass of recommendations for the product are encouraging me to get the plastic out for this bird. Thanks folks:RTHEdit: Not intended originally I am sure, this post plus the replies may be the best commercial advertisement this bird has ever had!
