After several more attempts I was finally able to get to the payment page. That went well and was able to finally able to download UT2. It brought up the UT2 pop up that shows the various things that can be done . I then went ahead and downloaded the power pack and the summer of 2013.

 Now nothing works again. I get a quick pop up that reads ; Error setting up flight options. Is not set as an instance to an object. THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES !

 

 

Did you install UT2 in the main FSX folder?

While most of my experiences with F1 have been good - lately I've been pretty disappointed... Many - of the older Flight1 products are not compatible with Win10 - as the old Flight1 wrapper will not run... Granted - the specs never listed Win10 as a supported OS - but - it's still pretty frustrating not being able to use your purchases because of the Flight1 proprietary wrapper system... If the underlying product doesn't run in Win10 - that's my issue - but their security mechanism shouldn't prevent me from trying... I want my Dreamfleet GA Aircraft and Paul's 727 back...

I avoid them at all costs. I got a new SSD and had to reinstall FSX-SE. All other downloads from multiple vendors was simple and painless. For the GTN I had to redownload through F1 and it was a battle royale. It literally took me days to get done because I was missing a credit card number of an older card. I ended up sending them several scathing letters but they didn't seem to care at all. Lesson here is unless the produce is exclusive to F1 buy it elsewhere and seriously consider if you want it at all.

If you click on it, and provide your email address, they will send a list of every F1 product you have ever ordered under that email - including order number and the last digits of whatever credit card you used to order each product. (Required for reinstalls).

From what I see you either love F1 or you hate it , with no in between. I've been trying to install it in the FSX Folder. My next move shortly is to try it in safe mode.

In compatibility mode I chose Windows 7 ( I have Windows 10 ) which works with everything else I have. Under ' Security ' I added ' Everyone '. and I included ' Administrator Rights '. So I go to open it , I hear the tower fans powering up , but nothing happens. I really don't know what else to do.

I'm not understanding why you do all that mucking around fussing with admin permissions compatibility whatever else? Why not just *double-click* the setup exe? Seems to run on my Win10 box.

I eventually found that link but it was not entirely obvious to me at the time I was trying to reinstall.

F1 Support suggested that I try safe mode with networking, made sence to me, but for some reason Windows 10 won't allow me to have safe mode with networking , just safe mode. Still at a lose.

Can you go to the sim program folder, with explorer, right click, properties, security, edit, select Users group, check the Modify permission, and see that Write is added when you do that, Apply, OK. Copy the setup program to the desktop right click run as admin from there complete re-install. If that's still not working, add a new Windows user log in as that user and run the installer as admin from there.

It's been about five days of trying to download my Ultimate Traffic 2 and still nothing. I remembered that I had Traffic 360 from Just Flight so I figured that I would download it and I did without a flaw just like all my other add ons except from Flight 1. It was a breath of fresh air downloading from Just Flight. Flight 1 has good products , but they're worthless to me if I can't use them after paying money for them. I have read that some of the guys here say that downloading from Flight 1 is so easy. Maybe you are the owner of Flight 1 or are a relative, either way I know the difference and to me that's what's important. In the mean time I will spend about a half hour of my life everyday until I finally get it.

I thought I would also mention that their boxed add ons can also be a major PITA.

I own the disc version of UT2 and Audio Environment.

 

Audio Environment usually takes almost 10 mins until the dvd drive is able to read the disc.  You can hear it constantly speeding up/slowing down after inserting the disc.  It's as if the dvd drive is having a hard time being able to read the disc.

I know I'm not the only one with this issue.  I remember reading online where someone else had the same problem and gave up.  I did message the person and told him to let the disc sit in the drive for a while.  Hope he got it working.

 

UT2, I never really had issues with until recently.  I spent an entire day coming back and forth trying to get the dvd drive to read it.  I must have tried at least a dozen times with no luck.

Finally, the next day, I thought I'd give it a try again, and it finally worked.

 

My dvd drive is fine.  There is nothing wrong with it.  This only happens with 2 of my Flight1 discs.  I tried a bunch of other disc add ons with no issue.  I still plan to install my disc version of UT and GEX.  I never had any problems with those in the past..  I hope it stays like that.

Have you have not tried my suggestions because you cannot download the file now?

Mark, why didn't you simply use their option to assign all of your purchased products to your account? This way you don't even need the key file any longer...

I've pm'd jetsmell, we'll see if we can find out what's going on from there...

After spending nearly a week of trying to download , I decided to take a one day break. I have FSX / Accelerator. If I can't download this thing, is there another store that sells it ? I'm using Traffic 360 right now, but I believe UT2 is better.
