Active Sky Cloud Art for FSX & P3D - Released!

Have to admit, despite all my earlier woes, complaints and scepticism, I'm slowly warming up to ASCA. I've seen some beautiful weather depictions and I've also seen some great clouds models. That's the one thing I missed from Soft Clouds, was the sharp definition, rather than everything being soft and mushy.

  • No.   Neither is needed to be done.     This is not intended to anyone particular but:   If you don't like the price then don't buy it. If you don't like the look then don't buy it.   Problem

  • If you are looking to start an argument, I am not in the mood. You began  by commenting that you thought my logic didn't come up to your standards, and now you don't like my opinion of what I think ab

  • Sometimes, when I read various posts, I really start to chuckle. As @Bobsk8 suggested, I wonder how many have spent much time in real flight. With over 10,000 hrs of flight time I can safely say that

Is anyone using soft clouds with AS16 or is everyone on Full Dynamic ASCA?

You do know you can disable sky colors in ASCA and bring your own right?

I'm not using ASCA sky colours, so I don't know what you mean.

I do but whats the sense of having it other than supporting your local sim developer which is not a problem with me

Your post does not come off that way it looks to me that ASCA was in use if not then what was

AS16 with soft clouds but no ASCA here. ASCA is not tempting me at the moment tbh.

No biggie just curious on my part - great shot

Hmm...I thought you just said ASCA dawn, dusk and night are terrible and since the overall "look" you get at a certain time of day such as dawn and dusk mainly is based on the sky textures it would make sense to me trying some different ones if you don't like the sky textures that come with ASCA.

I think you are mis-quoting? I didn't say dawn, dusk and night were terrible.

Hmm...after reading all the latest posts I'm really confused and guess I confused you as well by now  so to set things straight - I meant to comment Ric's post #557 when I wrote you can disable ASCA sky textures and use your own if you don't like the ones that come with ASCA.

Also I'm sure HiFi will continue to improve things based on all the great feedback in here.
