July 19, 20169 yr Now that's finally what I call "overcast". Is this from P3D or from FSX? Still wonder if I should ditch FS Global Real Weather for AS2016... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

July 25, 20169 yr Now that's finally what I call "overcast". Is this from P3D or from FSX? Still wonder if I should ditch FS Global Real Weather for AS2016... I have previously purchased ASN so for me it was an evolutionary move. But if you do decide to go for AS16 (I recommend it), allow me to suggest you to get the Active Sky Cloud Art. Real-Time Texture Dynamics really enhance overall user experience. Cheers, Andrej Andrej Lippay
July 25, 20169 yr Danny Danny, Is this just Active Sky 2016 ? Or do you have a Texture set in there as well ? Last question: In your Prepar3D settings do you have your Cloud Density set to maximum to achieve this look?
July 25, 20169 yr Nice shot Andy, no matter what texture set you have, the cloud looks amazing! Robert \Robert Hamlich/
July 25, 20169 yr AS16 does finally make England look...well like England, Grey, permanently overcast. For the first time ever last week i looked out of my window and finally saw an almost perfect replica of the weather in P3Dv3 Ian R Tyldesley
July 25, 20169 yr AS16 is phenomenal. [MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]
July 31, 20169 yr Author Danny, Is this just Active Sky 2016 ? Or do you have a Texture set in there as well ? Last question: In your Prepar3D settings do you have your Cloud Density set to maximum to achieve this look? I have soft cloud and texture direct as well, I haven't pulled the trigger on ASCA. Yes cloud density is max in P3D setting. Surprisingly, different from ASN, the performance penalty from high cloud density is not much in AS 2016. Not sure what the Active sky team did, but good job.
