Aerofly FS 2 Update Version 2.0.1EA3.46

Dear Aerofly users,

here is another intermediate update for Aerofly FS 2. We are still busy working on new airplanes and regions and of course more features, but this stuff will take some more time, so please be a little bit more patient.

2016-11-04

  • Improved VR rendering performance ( over 25% when using the HTC Vive and around 10% when using Oculus )
  • Enabled aileron, elevator and rudder control using keys or buttons (not the recommended way to control an airplane, but you even can land smoothly with proper trim and throttle management)
  • Fixed XBox and similar controllers: combined trigger assignment to rudder and brake works again
  • Fixed Baron 58 turn indication
  • Added COM and NAV tuning via radio management units in Learjet 45 and King Air C90
  • Fixed F18 autopilot trim interaction
  • Fixed coarse tuning steps for NAV and COM
  • Added max positive / negative G can be reset on aerobatic aircraft
  • Changed basic autopilot on Baron58 and C172 softer on bank and pitch controls

There have been two "Stealth" updates of the program recently, with no word of exactly what was done. Accordingly however, Jet Pack, an Aerofly developer, has altered his "Cold and dark" mod to work with these unspecified changes.

Hello again,

The cold and dark mod of the Cessna 172 has been updated to work with the latest early access version of the Aerofly FS 2:

Did the Nov 11 of Oculus Runtimes (1.10) cause you any problems? I see a "sticky" tracking issue now with Steam VR when back inside Oculus Home that I can clear with a reboot of Win10. Also, there are several reports of general reduced FPS on some games.

Thanks

Dave

[Official] Preliminary VIVE controller support

Dear Aerofly users,

We have just published a new update in our Beta channel that adds preliminary support for VIVE controllers to Aerofly. Using the VIVE controllers you may now navigate the Aerofly menus and you can also interact with some airplane cockpit instruments.

We would love to hear your feedback regarding this new feature.

We will of course add support for Oculus touch controllers once we can test them ourselves.

there is no process for updating, right? It's done automatically?

Yup. Though these updates are almost all for the beta build, which you have to switch to manually if you are now on the regular build.
