I tried the 777 at EGLL with the new update and the gear and flaps were much happier, moved at good speed in the replay.  I bought it at Simmarket so I just redownloaded it...version 3.0.1612.13.

Its pretty bad with alot of stuttering in the sound and during playback on my system.

You have to save it first and the load it from the menu right ?

Thanks

Yes.  I started from a flight, recorded a video, restarted the flight and then loaded the recording.  Didn't see any sound stuttering.  Maybe that could be caused by heavy load on the sim?  Dunno.  I was getting maybe 25-27 FPS at the time.

Hmm strang i used a fix of 25 fps for recording to manage my monitor refreshrate.

I dont think it was because of high load.

It was like the default recording with alot of stutter and sound jitter. Really bad.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for purchase. Strange behaviour with your planes. Do you can contact me via email support and we ll talk about.

In december i release update that support flaps, ailerons and spoilers well with pmdg 737 and aerosoft airbus. In january i ll release update with radio nav com record and play, and landing lights and strobes record and play .

In february will be next major improvments ... Stay tuned.

Ok i ll wait your email. In the meantime you can try record using this setting in fcr. If you use 25 fps for example set in simulator, set fps limit to 30 into fcr options dialog. Thanks fabio

Bought this software today and just tried it out and have a couple of questions.

First I set the option to have it start recording automatically when flying below a certain altitude and I set this to 5000 thinking that would automatically record my departure and arrival. Don't see much joy watching myself at FL300+ However it didn't seem to work and I did follow the instruction in the documentation to press the record button once in the GUI at the beginning of my P3D session.

Next question is how to get back to the normal P3D session and out of the recorded session after watching your playback. On my test today I used the PMDG NGX on a flight between Oslo and Stockholm and when I noticed the recording didn't start automatically during my approach into Arlanda I started it manually. Then once I landed and parked at the gate, made the a/c cold and dark and disconnected from Vatsim I figured I wanted to watch my landing from different camera angles.

So I loaded the flight using the GUI and first the NGX kept being cold and dark so not sure if I'm supposed to have the a/c in the same state as in the recorded flight I load meaning engines running etc or if this is supposed to be handled automatically? Anyway after playing around a bit both by playing back using the play button as well as manually going back and forward all of a sudden the NGX came alive with the engines running and the same state as when I started recording. So right now I'm a bit confused about the panel state in the NGX and what exact steps to take to play back a recording starting at approach - should I load a panel state manually where the a/c is powered up with the engines running or is this supposed to happen automatically?

Last question. Once I'm done watching the replay what is the correct way going back to the state/situation I was in before starting the playback? In my case that would be being parked at the gate and with the NGX in a cold and dark state with the engines shut down. I thought I was supposed to be returned to that situation by pressing the stop button twice after reading the documentation but instead doing that made me end up where the recording started in this case on the ILS into rwy 26.

Very nice to have a tool where you're able to watch yourself like this but I hope there's some simple answers to my questions/issues.

Thanks in advance!

Hi WebMAximus!!

Thank you for your purchase!

I try to answer to all your questions :-D

1) For record below an altitude please press button of recording when you are already above a trigger altitude . If you want start recording below 5000 (example) , and you already configured that in my settings ui,

please press recording button only when you are above trigger altitude and not when you are already below. This trigger activation i fixed already in upcoming January free update ;-)

2)My software it takes care only of variables that i noted in features description. I record these variables and i m taking care for record these and play these when user load situation. If you finished in cold and dark

system should recognize that a new situation it is loaded and simulator should turn on system. Prepar3d takes one minute max to restore situation  . i can advice when you load a situation wait a little before start play if you encounter issue. But my software manage recording and playing only variables i declared. (every free update i add new items ;-) ).

3)Until now you return at the initial point where the recording started. This behaviour changed in time . I have a lot of request on that feature. I think i ll change behaviour and i ll let user decide what prefer (via options ) . This feature will be focal point of a new big feature during 2017. I m exited about ;-)

Thank you very much.

If you have other questions i m here , please send me email at my support email  ;-)

Fabio

Thanks a lot Fabio!

I'll try what you suggest.

And just to make sure I understand you correctly. At this time you will always return to the point where the recording started after playback and there's no way to instead exit the playback mode where the recording stopped?

If that's the case it feels very backward to me and I'm not sure how I'm then supposed to use your tool because when I'm done watching a recording like I did today obviously I want to be able to go back to the same place I was before watching the playback once I'm done or am I missing something here?

A free alternative to fsrecorder is Simlogger.

It allows up to 10 simultaneous replays.

It is designed for gliders but I think it can be used for any aircraft.

It works in P3D.

No detectable FPS hit.

Simple to use once you understand the principal.

For gliders, we use simlogger to fly against other pilots in soaring tasks offline by importing their IGC flight log into simlogger and using it to fly against them while recording our own flight in simlogger simultaneously. We then upload our IGC recording for other pilots to fly against.

Seeing ten other planes that have been flown by real pilots flying with you in the same airspace using virtual reality is thrilling experience got to say.

Simlogger might be worth a shot. Problem is that ground movements are not recorded accurately and the sampling rate is too slow for aerobatic replays. Edit: also doesn't record control stick deflection or lights etc.

Hi WebMaximus,

yes i undesrtand well . But this behaviour i ll fix in january update. With this pack  when user stop playing (pressing stop button twice) , system restore old flight situation (loading an internal  pre saved situation file).

Update will go out max at the end of january (with also other features)

Fabio

Hi,

This is interesting. I wasn't aware there was a software release. I am interested very much. Can someone provide some reviews, like does it have any impact on flying experience during recording such as FPS hit or VAS hit. Can it work with any aircraft and can the replays be played outside of sim - Goods and the bads...

Thank you

Congratulations on release Fabio :)
